Thanks Moike!! A month of sundays would be awesome, with the way the car and trailer look now I reckon it will be a year of Sundays 🤣🤣 we resided to the fact before starting the trip that they would never be the same and it is safe to say that is already true 🤣🤣

@@bradleyfryer5563 Hey Bradley, Correct, we had the maxxis AT when we did that trip. I was very impressed with them. we took the 200 over some pretty unforgiving ground, corrugations, gravel, rocks, etc, and they never let us down. we never had a blow out due to rocks or road conditions but did manage to get a long tech screw imbedded in one which I just plugged and kept going. The gibb river road chopped them up a bit though. Their performance on the road is pretty good as well. They're not as quiet as HT but not as bad as other Tyres I've used. the size is 285x70x17 (33inch) on standard rims. they fit with no scrubbing but I do have a 2 inch lift. hope this helps. cheers Craig

Awesome trip we are going east to west in September from Winton, actually starting from nz, did you alter tyre pressures much particularly going from gravel than bitumen back to gravel.?
Awesome mate you will love it! So many great places to see, Winton was amazing! We used 25psi on the front and trailer then 28psi on the rear of the cruiser due to the weight at the back. Safe travels when you make the trip. Thanks for watching!
What a great trip guys. Great report too. We are planning similar trip and i am stressed about fuel. We have a similar set up although are towing a 15ft Hybrib. Have you calculated fuel usage when off the tar ???
Hey there, Hall family. I haven't done the gravel calculation, but our average all up to this point is 20L/100. If i had to geuss, I'd say the gravel was about 22. From memory, the longest stretch between fuel points was about 400kms. If in doubt, jerry Cans are a good fall back plan. Happy planning, you'll love it.
No most of the WA side has not been done yet, I believe they plan to have the whole lot done by 2031, I think we saw?? We have just finished the NT/QLD Outback Way and that had alot more bitumen. So maybe they are moving east to west?
Thanks Stephen! This was late March, before they got all the rain there. At that time we didn't find it too bad at all. There was a couple of sections that were quite rough, but overall it was pretty good, we had no troubles towing on it either.
Oh really! Wasn't bad at all, they have started putting bitumen down now just out of Yulara. So possibly that section had not long been grated? Bet the whole thing was alot more wild back in 2000!

Your concern about price of fuel. You should have topped up to keep the place going otherwise it won't be there next time. He is not ripping you off just working to live.

But unfortunately, with the high cost of fuel all over the country, we do need to try and save where we can. Thanks for watching!
Remote roadhouses add significantly to traveller comfort and safety. If everyone carried jerry cans of fuel we would have no remote roadhouses. Patronise these roadhouses by buying a bit of fuel to keep them all going.
Absolutely agree with you Chris. Even though we chose not to top up our fuel at that particular roadhouse, we still supported them by buying store items and merchandise. Which actually cost more than what it would have if we just topped up with fuel 😁 thanks for watching!
