Hi new to beyblade my kid just got me into it I've been doing iato and kendo for a very very long time I got the samurai saber for my first beyblade and I was using the launcher the same way I hold my katana's sheath and launching it the the same way I draw my katana and I've been loving it most fun ever but I don't think I need to change my stance or drawing technique but I am starting to add tilted launches into the equation and finding crazy results
After watching this video and practicing and then applying the techniques shown, I went from going 2-3 at locals to 5-1 and winning! Thank you so much for helping me get better at Beyblade!
Yes I’m so happy the guide is finally here! Proud of myself for learning it from you before the guide but grateful to see it all laid out so nicely lol looks like I need to work on my arm movement here, don’t pull my hand nearly as far back and up so I can’t wait to see how much better I can get 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 also aiming practice using a stationary Bey??? That’s awesome I’ve never thought of doing that!
Yeah man your launches are great. This is really the foundation for your more accurate launches. Get good at these mechanics to raise your launch power then you’ll be able to carry more power into your technical launches :)
just a heads up the string length isn't the only factor. gearing is also a HUGE factor. Ripcord gets like a little over 9 revolutions at full rip-cord length. at the same length the sting gets only roughly 5. over total string length it only gets slightly over 10 revolutions. source, painted one prong white and pulled it and counted on both launchers.
Hey! Thanks. Fully aware of this. I’m talking about getting the most powerful string launches you can in the video and all I say is in comparison to ripcord you’ll be able to get more consistency with string. Also if you want to check revolutions you can just look at the top of the launcher and count them the same way the battle pass does. Most string gets between 11-13 revolutions :) Thank you for watching!
Recently switch from winder to the string launcher for more control and I was unconsciously doing the same thing with my left leg (before watching this video). It just felt natural. Though, my knees kinda dips a bit more. Great video!
Amazing application of different areas to construct an advancement for the hobby. I'm stoked to see what else we can discover to make even stronger launches. The only "problem" I could really have with it is only personal: I seem to need to exert more effort with this technique than I do with my standard grip for what seems like no difference in spin strength. Again, this is not to detract from your video, just explaining what my experience with it is - I might even end up using some tips from this video to boost my own standard launch as best I can. My standard grip is the parallel grip, with the grip on the back of the launcher on the back of the launcher, for some reference.
It not go more bbbrrrrr??? lol I’m sure you’ve got awesome launches any way you’re holding it dude. This grip helps me use a variety of different “tactics” from the same position so I really like it :)
@@BladeBeyX Still fast, just not as fast as I can do lol. But yea, it's still a great technique to share to the world, even if it doesn't work for me as it does for you.
Thanks! You can get massive power from rip cord but you can also get huge power and more consistency from the string launchers without all the drag from the ripcord and double gears. This makes it easier to launch more accurately. Hope the vid helps :)
Awesome video man!! you hold that launcher very well, almost like you've been watchin me hahaha. jokes aside, this was a great informative video and those who follow your techniques will become powerful competitors🔥🔥🔥
My main question is if this can exceed that of a winder? If it can meet that of a winder then this is a ton more effort and training required to meet it. You should do a side by side test. A winder with the attachable handle, ripping it as hard as you can using your technique versus the String launcher. Then the winder abandoning the focus on conscious control and banking on subconscious hand eye coordination.
Hey great question. So I’ve been testing that since beyblade x came out and got my hands on the battle pass to test launch rpm’s. That’s why I’ve settled on string launcher. Just launching hard isn’t going to win you any large tournaments though. Increasing your power with the string launcher is going to allow you to launch more technically and still carry some good rpm with it. I believe what you’re referring to as “subconscious” hand and eye coordination is akin to having a reactive aim and I have techniques for that with winder as well :)
It honestly comes down to personal preference. I have full control with the Winder launcher, so a string launcher doesn't really provide me with more control. As much as it takes practice to increase your launch power with string launchers, you could also practice your control with Winder launchers and get better results from my testing.
To begin with you’re going to be consciously releasing but I’ve got enough reps that I’m consistently pulling the full length of the string and it’s natural to let my fingers slide off the grip smoothly. You’ll still have to ease up your grip though 😅 Thank you!
You need to increase strength capacity but mainly explosiveness if you want to see your launch power go up outside of technique. If you check out the solo beyblading series on the channel that might give you some ideas :)
Mexico Cameo from Ana Paula, Lol.Going try this week to improve with the string launcher, not my favorite but in burst is kindo of the way my launches were trigger.
Very informative and I prefer string launcher as well, but I did feel like an otherwise informative video began with a somewhat disingenuous comparison between string length and rip cord length: just to clear some things up, the ripcord launcher has a double gear ratio so the ripcord is moving against a larger gear which spins the launching prongs 3x per rotation of the larger gear. Basically the ripcord is spinning 3x its physical length as well. Thanks to said gear ratio.
Hey thanks for the feedback and sorry if it sounds misleading. The video is about getting the most power from string launchers and I believe I say the longer string length allows for more consistency in power over ripcord. Going by my battle pass I have hit higher rpms with my string launcher over my ripcord launchers though. It would be fun to test again now I’ve worked on my ripcord technique too :)
I actually hit 30k launch power without this stance but I’m going to try to start incorporating it into my launch technique for more consistent launch power.
One of the reason I don’t use string launchers is because the recoil always make the end of the string hitting my knuckle hard, are there any ways to prevent this or is it something u need to get used to in using the string launcher?
It’s the worst right! It always hits the middle of my thumb nail! The noodle accessory I recommend in the video is perfect for stopping all that. It’s just heavy enough that the string doesn’t whip back but instead just slowly retracts back in :)
Nice one! Very informative, do you have any recommended workout program to make this better, I only have resistance loop band at home, and I'm trying to strengthen my launch
I’ve been working on programs for Bladers. Nothing uploaded yet but I have a “building a beyblade protagonist” playlist you can check out for some inspiration on workouts atm :)
How do you keep the string from hitting the stadium on the rebound after letting go? At my local org (and I think TT tournament rules) stadium contact is a yellow card. There was stadium contact multiple times in the video so that wouldn't fly
Yeah that’s not a rule dude. If your string hits the stadium it hits the stadium. Doesn’t affect the scoring. If you’re pulling straight back and fully extending the string I can’t see how it would ever land inside the stadium at least :)
That’s why the slip grip is such a great accessory! It will stop that happening completely! If you’ve got the dexterity you can also flick the grip down with your thumb when you launch so it doesn’t fly back at your hand/arm :)
Maybe I missed it if you even mentioned it but you are talking about the Takara Tomy string launcher right? Because Im 100% sure without even actually measuring that the hasbro string launcher is múch weaker than rip cord launcher
There’s no difference between the TT and Hasbro string launchers bud. The rip cord launcher has a gear multiplier that helps you get a stronger launch but at the same time doesn’t guarantee it. You’ll normally feel like you launch harder on rip cord anyway because of the resistance and feedback it gives. @@BladeBeyX Hmm okay I see. Yeah seeing im in the EU I dont necessarily feel like buying the TT battlepass.
