I had the honor of meeting Mr. Diamond when I lived out that way from 2000 to 2018. I am from the Seneca tribe of NY. It's important to pass these traditions on to our children and grandchildren. Thank you for sharing this blessing.

This is the way it should be taught like all good elders have done. There's an important tone to his voice that is respectful. Well said Marvin Diamond. Good teachings, thank you.
Sat in a few meetings with Marvin and Ronnie. The words they both shared, I'll always keep close to me. ( those two could tell some funny peyote stories!! :-) )
I live on and watch over the old otoe-missouria reservation land in Nebraska. I can finally put a face to the land! I go out there and run the dogs a lot. It's gorgeous land and there is a special feeling from it. Your grandfather was one of the 200 some that made the 18 day walk south after their land was stolen. I feel like I should offer to send you some soil in a jar! I'm so glad I found you!
Wow. You are very resourceful and talented. Amazing knowledge and do you know you have my Fathers name❤ and I may be family. I come from Hightower family as well and I have Cherokee and other indian tribe. Thanks for sharing this I really enjoyed learning more about part of my heritage
Now I see that's Marvin hope he remember his sister in-law Jenny Diamond and I've been studying about my great, great, great grand father Bert Diamond.
Forgot to answer your question. The drum is tied just before the meeting begins in the evening, and then after the meeting is over somewhere after sunrise.
