What holidays did Jesus Celebrate? Although many would assume that Christmas and Easter were holidays Jesus and his earliest followers were connected to, this is not the case at all! Because Jesus was Jewish and fully Torah observant, he faithfully observed the holidays God commanded all Jews to celebrate in the Hebrew Bible.
In this episode, Jeff follows in the footsteps of Jesus and his earliest followers as they faithfully observed the Feasts of the Lord, and specifically, the pilgrimage feasts that meant Jesus and his followers were to ascend biblical Mt Zion and visit the Temple.
With tour guide, Richard Frieden, Jeff visits the pool of Siloam where Jewish pilgrims would immerse themselves and wash before their reverent ascent up Mt. Zion. Here, they revisit the story of the blind man Jesus healed and told to wash in the Pool of Siloam. Then, in the footsteps of Jesus, Jeff makes his ascent to the Temple, as he learns about the Jewish pilgrimage feasts and other holidays observed by Jesus and his earliest followers.
