      Good eye!
Sort of. A menorah has 9 total candles -- 4 on each side and 1 in the center; the menorah here has 7 candle slots. I am Jewish; the Talmud states that it is prohibited to use a seven-lamp menorah outside of the Temple. A Hanukkah menorah therefore has eight main branches, plus the raised ninth lamp set apart as the shamash (servant) light which is used to kindle the other lights.
If this office is in a Temple/Synagogue, then it's appropriate to have displayed there. If it's not in a temple, it's technically not a Jewish menorah. Great observation!

I thought it was a fascinating question, as I pray to the Universe, which encompasses my belief in G-d, and that Jesus is viewed more like a prophet than a messiah to Jews. This video is very helpful in explaining the cultural and religious background of Jesus as he pertains to us Jews.

False, and wake up. Our Lord Jesus Christ is God Himself in His Divinity, He is The Creator of Heaven and Earth and He doesn't belong to the Jews or to anybody as He is The Creator of all as it is written in Isaiah 9," For unto us a Child is born a Son is given and He is called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace and His Kingdom shall have no end" and also in John 1: 1-3, " In The Beginning was The Word and The Word was with God and The Word was God... everything that was created was created by Him. So, in His Divinity, Our Lord and God Jesus Christ is The Creator of the Universe and he precedes Abraham and The Jewish Nation as He Himself said," Before Abraham was I AM ". But in His Humanity that never separated from His Divinity neither for a moment nor for a twinkling of an eye he assumed human flesh, was incarnated by The Power of The Holy Spirit and born of The Virgin Mary as it is written," and The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we have seen His Glory as the Glory of The Only Begotten of The Father, Full of Grace and Truth. So in His Divinity, Our Lord and God Jesus Christ is above anything that is human but in His Humanity, he came from the tribe of Judah as He is The Lion of Judah The Messiah who came to die for us on the cross and Rose again from Bodily from the dead by the Power of His Divinity to grant whoever believes in Him eternal Life. So, go learn.

@@vahrheit9996Nothing you said address my comment. I suggest you calm down, and follow your own advice. There are two questions at play here. Was Jesus jewish? Why are we not Jewsih then?
First, Jesus has two natures, God and man. His divinity has no bearing on His culture and tradition as a man. As you so clearly stated "he became man." He was born man, of Jewish women (Virgin Mary). Raised in a Jewish family (Blessed Mother and St. Joseph). Was presented at a Jewish temple after his birth, following Jewish tradition. He was found teaching at the Jewish temple. Followed Jewish traditions like Passover. So regardless of His divinity, He was born, raised, and lived following Jewish tradition. Matthew 1:17-18 "Thus the total number of generations from Abraham to David is fourteen generations; from David to the Babylonian exile, fourteen generations; from the Babylonian exile to the Messiah, fourteen generations. Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph."
The second question is ultimately why are we not Jewish. That was my answer. Therefore as a jewish boy and man, He followed the old covenant made between God (including him) and the Israelites. Exodus 24:8 "And Moses took the blood and threw it on the people and said, “Behold the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words." Therefore, born as a jewish man, he was subject to the old covenant. He did establish a new covenant in his sacrifice which we follow today, therefore it is different than the old covenant. This new covenant is why we are not Jewish, following Jewish tradition
Luke 22:20. And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.”
Matthew 26:28 "For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."
Romans 7:6 "But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code."
Romans 11:27 "And this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins."
Want more? Peter clearly responded to this exact question

Romans 11:26 is the highlight point. Jews have to convert to the Catholic line (pure line from both lines grafted together). Matthew 24:20 is not about embracing the Sabbath but rather showing sabbath regulations (existing for a specific era), in contrast, the Jewish people being ordered to disobey Pharaoh's order to work everyday. Sabbath was actually ordered in opposition to Pharaoh's order because God is a jealous God (Exodus 20:5, 20:8-10). The exchange of Exodus chapters 5 and 6 indicates the previous (Pharaoh versus God). This destroys the main Heresy of the 7th Day Adventists. How many 7th Day Adventists actually follow the actual Jewish Sabbath rules? Then actually apply the social punishment for Sabbath breakers (Numbers 15:32-36). 2nd evidence: John 2:19-22, is against this call to rebuild the Temple. If Jesus already knew about this Heresy then those calling for it are heretics and guided by a demon. Matthew 27:52-54 was predicted by Hosea (6:1-3). Through John, Jesus mentions this in John 2:19-22 and Revelation 21:22 makes it clear he is now the actual Temple. To go back to Jewish traditions is a Heresy. To call for and support for Jewish traditions (within the body of Christ) is also a Heresy. Those things lead to heretical beliefs. Romans 11:26 is the call for Jewish people to leave their traditions and follow the traditions of their revolutionary messiah called Jesus Christ. Established through Peter with a revolutionary tradition (Matthew 16:18 and 2nd Thessalonians 2:15). Paul has warned about Judaizing and returning to these heretical stands (Titus 1:10-16). Jesus is not Jewish nor Christian, He is " I AM That I Am " (Exodus 3:14, Exodus 15:3, Exodus 20:5). God differentiates from human beings, his creation. Not Jewish, not Christian (and not Muslim). Jesus is God and the Final King. Let me add, Islam is based from, and part of, a past heresy crept into the early body of Christ (Catholic Christians) called Arianism. Arianism/Islam (Jesus is a prophet/human being not God) was also predicted by Isaiah (Isaiah chapter 24). Muhammad, even though misguided, his actions prepared the way by removing pagan idols from the previous Arab/rest of middle east population but he adopted the heresy of Arianism. God used him like God used previously the Persian King Cyrus in Isaiah 44:28 and Isaiah 45:1. This is a earlier repeat with the Pharaoh Ramses the 2nd (Exodus 5 and 6). God later used Cyrus to liberate his previous people and built the Temple without violence for the Jewish people but through God's hand (Exodus 6:1, Isaiah 44:28, Isaiah 45:5-7, 45:21, 46:9, 48:12-13). Now, to harvest those of the Islamic belief into (Catholic) Christianity. I think they (ex-Muslims) will make great Catholics because of memorization methods.

@sa35915 You are replying to a post from 6 months ago, so I had to remind myself what this was all about. Saying 'Jesus was baptised' does not answer my questions. I have since found out that Jewdism and Christianity are a lot more complicated than that. I read 'The belief that Jesus is God, the Son of God, or a person of the Trinity, is incompatible with Jewish theology. Jews believe Jesus did not fulfill messianic prophecies that establish the criteria for the coming of the messiah'. That's why they do not celebrate him in the way Christians do, even though he is (or was) a fellow jew. 🤔

Only Judaism is not only an ethnicity, it’s a religion. It’s the religion that established - once and for all time - a monotheistic God. It’s the Abrahamic religion that brought us the 10 Commandments! It’s a religion w its own laws, regulations and practices.
It’s absolutely ridiculous to claim that Judaism is the merely equivalent of Scottish/ Irish.
Jesus is, indeed, Jewish. He is indeed the Messiah. However, Jesus brought a NEW covenant - a new covenant that forever changed ( changed, not ruptured) the relationship of Jesus’s disciples to Judaism.

Not only is Jesus Jewish but all the apostles were too.
All the first Christians were Jewish.
It was only when some Christians converted a Roman emperor that Christianity became a majority gentile religion.

Jesus’ task, like all the prophets of the Bible, was to tell the Jewish people the error of their ways, and put them back onto the right path spiritually. He knew what he was up against. Christian was just another Jewish sect like the Essenes, which, because of the Romans and their power across Europe, spread across the western world.

As a Jew he wasn't allowed to pray for any symbole and now us image in hanging out in every house which is a big mistake , he didnt create something new. The NT was written by jews yes , well at least the mormon which also start from jews got it right they dont pray to fake characters hanging out. What does it says in the bible ? Right suddanly god decided a new religon will start. Hold tight we are in the disovery days a lot of truths will come out.

They with ears to hear, let them hear:
Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit!
Hear me when I say, ye that are Catholic have been deceived and know not God. Ye worship Mary, praying to her; when God tells his to worship none other than him. It is idolatry.
Catholicism has its own Bible and teachings, which are blasphemous to the word of God: the Holy Bible. As ye follow the teachings of man and not God; ye hear the pope, but not Jesus, yet ye claim to be his disciples!
These are but a few things I named ye dwell within; there are many more. I tell you now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father!
There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you!
They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God...
Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask:
"Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen."
    Revelation 22:8-9 KJV
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
    Acts 2:38 KJV
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
    Luke 11:13 KJV
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
    John 14:21-24 KJV
21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.*
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.*
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.*
    3 John 1:11 KJV
11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. *He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.*
    1 John 3:6-10 KJV
6 *Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.*
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: *he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.*
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 *Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.*
10 *In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,* neither he that loveth not his brother.

Your explanation is confusing for someone who wants to educate people. Here it is, once and for all:
A Jew is both an ethnic group and a religion. Christianity is a religion; you can be of any ethnic group and be Christian. For example, a person born a Jew can be Christian. A Black man can be Jewish, and he may be Ethiopian, but he is Jewish.
Jesus was ethnically a Jew, but his religion was Christianity.
Why do people complicate this? Teachers and preachers often try to be too smart and offer complex explanations. It is simple: two words - ethnicity and religion.

    100% wrong..
"Jesus the Israelite Was Neither a `Jew' Nor a `Christian': On Correcting Misleading Nomenclature"
    “Was Moses Jewish?”
"Well, according to the Orthodox Rabbinout in Israel, the answer is: “Definitely not”.
"This should come as no real surprise because, according to the exact same rabbinout, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his 12 sons were not Jewish either."
"Calling Jesus “a Jew,” Malina says, is inherently misleading because it anachronistically defines Jesus according to a religion based on a rabbinic model of the Babylonian Talmud of the 5th-6th centuries. Malina would prefer to translate the Greek word Ioudaios, as found in the New Testament, as “Judean”in order to break an association with rabbinic Judaism while preserving the sense that it refers to Judean “customs and behaviors.”
"The name Yehuda, which first appears in the Bible as the name of the fourth son of Leah(Judah), also became the name of the tribe of the descendents of Yehuda(Judahites H3064). In this form, it is mentioned numerous times in the Bible. The term “Jew” (Yehudi), on the other hand, does not appear in the earlier books of the Bible and is to be found only a few times in the later books of the Bible: Kings II, Jeremiah, Zechariah, Nehemiah, Esther and Chronicles."
"The first appearance of the word “Jew” in the Bible is in Kings II 16:6. Its connotation there is identical to that of “men of Yehuda”: “and drove the Jews from Eilat.” Over time, this name replaced the earlier ones, though the meaning remained unchanged. In other words, the term Jew in this period was a person who originated from the Kingdom of Yehuda."

Greetings of Peace, My Brothers and Sisters...
May Allah bestow upon you safety, mercy, and blessings
Imagine this honestly, my brothers and sisters. Think clearly with an open and rational mind, with a sincere heart open to accepting the truth below. May you be enlightened.
A sculptor cannot change into a statue, a painter cannot change into a painting, and there is no creator anywhere that changes into their creation because there is a significant difference between a creator and their creation. God, the Supreme Creator, cannot become a human being, which is His creation, because this is very irrational and only a doctrine that forces our common sense. The result is GREAT CONFUSION AND DOUBT.
Then there is a rebuttal: God is Almighty, so that He can become anything, right?
Brother, this is what is called a PARADOX. Remember, God also has the attributes of being all-powerful and everlasting. Suppose He becomes human because God can become anything. In that case, He becomes weak and can die, contrary to His almighty and immortal nature. So, a creator becoming a creation is just a misleading doctrine that will undoubtedly create significant doubt in your heart and confusion in your mind. And this is also a GREAT INSULT TO GOD.
So what is the true God like?
As Jesus said, "Shema Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Ehad."
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, THE LORD IS ONE (Deuteronomy 6:4).
The criteria of the TRUE GOD are also explained in the Quran: (QS: Al Ikhlas)
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate
Say, "He is Allah, the One and Only.
Allah is the source of all requests.
(Allah) NEITHER BEGETS NOR IS BORN.
And THERE IS NONE EQUAL OR COMPARABLE to Him."
By believing and acknowledging this, I guarantee that YOUR HEART WILL BE AT PEACE, AND THERE WILL BE NO MORE DOUBT.
HOW ARE SALVATION AND FORGIVENESS IN ISLAM?
Have you heard the Takbir echoing and responding at the end of the fasting month?
Do you know what it means? It is an expression of gratitude from Muslims because ALLAH HAS FORGIVEN ALL OUR SINS. We congratulate each other on Eid al-Fitr, which means returning to the original state, like a newborn baby without sin. Then how do we erase our sins with others? That is why during Eid, we are taught to connect and forgive each other by apologizing for our physical and spiritual mistakes.
Is this still not forgiving enough? Besides the fasting moment, every time we perform ablution, pray, ask for forgiveness, and prostrate, all our sins are forgiven by Allah.
What about the sin of Prophet Adam before God?
The sin of Prophet Adam has been resolved. It has been erased, brother.
Allah has forgiven all of Prophet Adam's sins.
Read the Quran. There is no original sin; every newborn baby is pure and sinless.
Why is this? Because Allah has the attribute of Al-Ghofur, which means THE MOST FORGIVING AND MERCIFUL, God does not need to trouble Himself by coming to earth as a weak human to be sacrificed.
    MAY YOU BE ENLIGHTENED, AMEN.
EVIDENCES THAT JESUS IS JUST A MESSENGER CREATED BY GOD, JESUS IS PROPHET :
    1. John, 20:17
I will go to my Father and your Father, MY GOD AND YOUR GOD
    2. Matthew, 4:10
You shall worship the Lord your God and serve ONLY HIM
    3. John, 17:3
They know YOU, THE ONLY TRUE GOD.
    4. John 12:49
I did not speak on my own, but the FATHER WHO SENT ME commanded me to say all that I have spoken
    5. John 17:3
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ whom YOU HAVE SENT
    6. Luke 4:8
Jesus answered, 'It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and SERVE HIM ONLY
    7. John 4:19
The woman said to Him, 'Sir, I perceive that YOU ARE A PROPHET.
