- In this video I will be showing you all of the new features I have added to this 1979 Duplex Fararr fire truck. Much improvement has been made coorecting the paint and removing rust from the tailboard. It is now a fully functional apparatus and is finally back in service.
Well thanks for keeping this unit alive and out of the junkyard.. first of all you have a rare truck there because most of the trucks have had the cab Ford design or the cab over did not have a
This time I I intentionally. Posted . Cuz I wanted to talk to you about your two and a half and 3 inch fire hose.. a list that came with the truck and if you bought those used the thing is you have to check the threads on both ends both the male and female lens to make sure it works with a thread on the truck if your house is not connect why haven't ...
Cool fire truck. Nice to see you are keeping big red alive.
The word for the kitty pool you're looking for is Porta Pond. Keep up the great work on that beauty
Awesome
The term your looking for is a Portable Pond that was stored on the Drivers Side of the Apparatus. The one we had on there was a 3000gallon pond. Truck is lookin good cant believe the old girl still pumps!
In the next video it will just be pumping from the tank, I got a bunch of unique brass nozzles from a destroyer that should make for some good film.
Looks amazing I love old fire trucks also the cage was for a supply pool which trucks hook up to for water pumping etc
Looking good, Glad it is all coming together for you.
Fire truck restoring chanel its a good idea
Thanks! hopefully around Christmas time ill be getting a big ladder truck to restore. Im still debating whether I need that or not but its such a complicated machine I think it would make for some good videos...idk.
@@highvoltagemayhem3345 yeaahh and some pump repair or testing would be awesome
Greetings from argentina
@@juliandp1768Greetings from Texas! Ill make sure to film the pump running in the next video.
Need more videos of this thing I’m an apparatus and water nerd
Nice job, looks great.
Your portable "pond", on the east coast is know as a "Fol-Da-Tank".
So how did you get the old girl back in service just curious love your channel so far and love the truck man good luck to you on your future projects as well
Thanks for the comment! So I became a Telico firefighter about a year ago. Most of theyre equipment holds around 1,000 gallons. Since my tuck carry's about 2,300 gallons, any time there is a big fire Ill bring my truck on scene so they can refill they're tanker or fill up little brush trucks. Having such large capacity it also goes to structure fires and can be used as a water shuttle. It serves a variety of functions but Im just glad Im finally able to use the apparatus for its intended purpose.
@@highvoltagemayhem3345 very very cool and thanks for the response look forward to seeing it in the future videos
you should definitely put an old PA300 on that siren
Now that a really Nice truck do you know if the headlight are from Peterbilt because they sure look like the 359 one
10:30 sounds like the sirens that Japanese fire engines use.
What’s with the badge on your belt? I don’t know of any firefighters that do that let alone carry one on them. Just leave it on your class A/B shirt! Oh, nice truck BTW.
Maguire plastex plastic cleaner is good for your plastic lens to that old.
How much water does the Tank on your Truck carry ? 2500 or 3000 gallons ?
2300 gallon's, as he said in the 1st video.
This truck came from East Litchfield Connecticut
Also called a drop tank
bring back the videos!
Part 3?
Side well pump marinepump tank cage on the go usage portable field emergency pumps.
What happened to the fire truck updates please
Truck doesnt meet NFPA current standards. Good for Musters or parades.
isn't that a 2 1/2 intake in the rear? just like the one in the front?
No its a discharge. There were multiple 2 1/2 discharges on the back with one 1 1/2 discharge as well as a 2 1/2 direct fill on the left side. Over time one of the discharges got cut off and the direct fill broke off while I was using it one day.
