Yes! Another tasty noodle dish coming at ya! One that is super easy to make and also very tasty. This noodle dish is a very popular Lao dish known as Khua Mee or also known as Lao stir fry noodles. In Hmong, we like to call this Fawm Kib or Fawm Qaab Zib which means pho noodles that are stir fried or sweet noodles. Yes, pretty basic name for it haha. But in today's recipe, I'll be showing you how to make the NON-STIR FRY version since I grew up eating it this way. This version is also less starchy and sticky since we cooked and rinse most of the starch away instead of cooking the starch into the sauce. This version is also great kept in the fridge for 2 days. This dish should be sweet, savory, and very fun to eat. Toppings are pretty basic but you have the freedom to add other herbs/meat to it. It's also a great dish for summer, potlucks, and any special occasions. As long as you have the sauce down, you can whip up this dish in an instant. Hopefully you can give it a try and find a way to mix the sauce to your liking after trying out my recipe. So give it a try and happy cooking!
Let me know how you like to add into your sauce base! :)

My mom passed away when I was 13. I only now realize how important it is to learn my mother’s recipe but it is now too late. I felt ashamed that I don’t know how to cook when I go out but with the help of your videos, I am able to gain that confident. Thank you for your content sister.
Sorry about your mom, sis 😢

Tried your recipe and it was delicious. Easy to follow and I had all the ingredients already which was a win win. The dish was sweet, salty and garlicky. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you for making a Hmong food channel. My hubby is Hmong. and the food is so good. Its nice to come to your channel since I dont always know what the food is.
Now this is the easier version of making this dish. Thank you for sharing.
Omg thanks for the recipe! I’ve only seen the pan fried version and have been looking for a non fried. Can’t wait to try it!!
The fried version break down the noodles but depends on personal preference. I made my sauce ahead of time -that way the noodles won’t get hard and stick together.
Yay something I like eating but don't know how to make it. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
Thank you for sharing! I love these noodles but dont know how to cook it! I'll definitely try it out now! Thanks!!

Mmmm, one of my favorite dish. I usually add the garlic into the sauce before mixed. I'd never use shallots. Will try shallots next time.

Thanks for the wonderful recipe. Cannot wait to try it out. Would love to see your version of pad thai 🙂
Does the palm sugar makes the pho noddle taste different than using regular sugar?
Amazing job
Yum. Nice job
Looks delicious... might have to try bvb recipe in the future!!
Even your dish is as beautiful as you... Lovely!
Hey thanks for the video. Easier to make than I thought.
Cuz, thank you. Keep up the great work.
So this is how you make it. Lol So much easier!! 😍😃 Thank you sis!

I grew up in a big family so this portion would have been perfect. But now I have a family of 3 and need measurements for a smaller family lol
Same!
I have to try this, thanks.
Wow I’m going to make this! 🥰
beautiful....
haven't had this dish in years! I love to eat it with raw Thai chilli
So glad I found this recipe and finally had the time to make it today for me and my little fam because it looked so good ,but I found it to be really sweet and I followed the recipe exactly as it was measured. What can I use to substitute all that sweetness in there.
Add less sugar
i always do fried noodle but havnt done non fried thank you
Will the whole pack of noodles you show the video be enough for a big party tray?
Also, if i were to make a big party tray, how many batches of sauce do i have to make from your recipe to get the right consistency?
I was wondering do u have recipes for Hmong traditional funeral especially for elders who prefer the old style recipes???
Looking yummy!
Looks so delicious! Our family usually adds some beef to our noodles. This method reminds me of Korean Japchae. Thanks for sharing. Love your videos.
Yes! Pretty much the same method :) Love the beef addition.
Yummy!!!
That's a big amount for each person but worth it..lol. Thanks for sharing.
Do you have an alternative option for that superior dark soy sauce brand?
I like this version better. It's the control of the noodles being cook proper way. I don't like how others stir fry the noodle in the pan and it can over cook the noodles
I KNOW FOR A FACT THIS IS FIRE 🔥
Where can I purchase this exact brand of noodles? I can't find them anywhere.
I like palm sugar also
I always wanted to make this dish but everytime its so sticky cause I cook it on the stove top! Gonna try it this way!
Oh interesting that it’s a Lao dish! I never heard of or didn’t know friends/family making this dish. I made up my own version and basically used the same sauce ingredients but the fried version. LOL Thanks for sharing and will try your version.
I grow up in Thailand when I was little. We’ve been eating this in Thailand. Idk why she said it’s laos.
@@9527MK Laos people also make this dish.
@@9527MK I eat this dish in Laos when growing up ..since the 80s .Go to Lao u see Street vendors.. selling this dish everywhere... that's why u never see the dish in Lao cause u grow up in Thai.
@@9527MK because it's a Lao dish, just like Khao poon, Khao piak, Khao soy are all Laotian words for rice noodles
@@niamtxivI am totally agree with you..this is all laos cuisine .
Thank you so much now I know how
Did you use the whole pack of the noodles?
For these type of noodles how many bundles of noodles equals 28oz?
❤❤❤
Yummmmm craving
U literally make it like my mom does.. she adds the oil to the plain noodles first.. then adds the sauce..
I made some without fish sauce. And instead of oyster, hoison sauce. Because someone is slightly allergic to shellfish. 🙃 It tasted not so bad. But I love my oyster sauce. 😆
Yummm
Hey how many to get small batch for my self? Weight?
How many packets of noodles did u use
That look so dang good 🤤
Kuv nyam noj fawm qaab zib! 🤤
Yum!
Do you add in the sauce while the sauce is still hot or has cooled off?
Room temp
Can l see the sauce bottle please
😋😋😋
