  • Indra leads the development of the Spanish space surveillance system S3T under the technical management of the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), under the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, through an agreement with the European Space Agency (ESA).
Space debris has become a major threat for civil and military space assets. This system contributes to Europe having its own capacity to generate a catalog of the space debris that orbits around our planet.
Indra’s Surveillance Radar is a key asset of the Spanish SST (Space Surveillance & Tracking) system.
Contributing to the generation of SST services for the EU user community:
    ·Collision avoidance
    ·Fragmentation analysis
    ·Re-entry risk assessment
Indra’s SST Surveillance Radar is capable of protecting military assets against intentional threats.
Space assets protection: kamikaze satellites, jamming, communications interception.
Tracking object: Overflight alerts for ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) satellites.
    Tracking threat: Support to BMD.
Surveillance & control of outer space. Highly valuable information to be integrated in the Spanish Air Command & Control (C2) System.
Our radar is designed to be easily scalable to enhance detection capabilities progressively until it reaches a version capable of detecting objects of a few centimeters in diameter at distances of up to 2,000 kilometers. It is also easily maintainable.
State-of-the-art technology for the protection of the Spanish and European space assets.
