Being an introvert as well, I hate situations like that! Usually I can handle it pretty well. Most of the time you can just throw on the "bitch face" but if that doesn't work, tell them you need to go and leave. Staying inside the same room won't work, especially when it is the opposite gender that approached.
I'm just wondering but why would you continue to talk to him? Honestly, if you kept talking to him he's gonna think that you enjoyed talking to him. From your prospective it must've felt creepy, but from his perspective you seem like someone who enjoys his company. You should just block his number if you have an iPhone.

A similar situation happened to me yesterday at the library of all places lol. This guy asked for my fb, and a date to the movies. And when I got up to leave, he tried to accompany me to my car. All the time I'm thinking dude, I'm in the library to study NOT flirt. And you could be a rapist for all I know. When I got home, I realized I forgot my laptop charger in the library...fml. So I wait 30 minutes and return to the library. The coast was clear and I head back to my car. Right as I turn the ignition on, I see the guy standing in front of the car giving me a sideways glance. I freak out completely and drive away as fast as possible. On the bright side, there was no hair touching or drink sharing haha. XD
Haha I've given the rejection hotline to a guy at the bar when my friend couldn't rescue me fast enough. I've given that number to most of my female friends just in case. You should really give it to the creep next time. xD
