Native California Carpenter Bees Love Autumn Sage

Update: Very tragically one of the bees (they where a mating pair, and they mate for life) was caught, and eaten by a crab spider that was living on the Salvia greggii. It happened yesterday right in front of me. The one bee is just flying around looking for the other one now and to be honest, it’s got me feelin pretty sad. I saw those two every single day for the last three months. It was pretty incredible to see that predation though.
