    for the brake light sensor, you could have simply spliced the wires and soldered them together to complete the circuit. The sensor works by continuity check. If your pads were down enough it will rub the sensor down to the point it disconnects, triggering the warning. 1200 bucks is pretty steep for something so simple. bummer.

      Yea sorry for this crazy late reply but your right I definitely felt like I got got, but that was only issue I had and I went to multiple different dealership service stations eventually the Audi in Burlington VT got it sorted out, I'm no mechanic by far and at the time I didn't have a good one on deck. That was couple years back now haven't had any issues since.

    $1,200 for a $30 brake sensor that takes 2 minutes to install🤦🏾‍♂️ dealer ships are scams, and that’s why I work on my own car

      facts yea the worst , i ended up getting it fixed in the Audi in Burlington VT, they blamed it on a whole wire that needed to be replaced, all in all havent had any issues since 🤞

    Is it supercharged?

    • @kylejohnson3101
      @kylejohnson3101  8 месяцев назад

      yessirr , its supercharged V6 as opposed to a turbo . I mainly noticed when you hit the gas there was virtually no lag you just feel the car go compared to a turbo car you hit the gas and it takes a second for u to feel it. You can google the pros and cons of supercharger to a turbo but that a7 with a stage 1 tune moved, its said it was doing 444hp after the ECU tune from APR and it definitely felt quicker

    Hi thanks for this video, Am planning to get an Audi A7 2012 or 2013 as my daily driver. Please What’s your advice for me about this car reliability and gas consumption in general thanks

    • @kylejohnson3101
      @kylejohnson3101  3 года назад +4

      Hey I Appreciate the comment and thanks for checking out my channel. Gas consumption I have the 3.0t ,V6 I recently did a 1,300 mile road trip with it mostly highway driving and filled up 4 times. I filled up give or take every 300-400 miles at about $40-50 with the going gas prices Premium gas of course I think that's pretty good. Reliability, No major issues and I road trip it frequently, I would definitley advise having a good mechanic other than bringing to the dealer to save you some money. I'd say try to get one with lower mileage (hedging your bet for less issues) I've driven mine over the 100K mile mark and some issues did arise nothing major but I would say around 90K-100K miles wear and tear, a light or two may go off but nothing a good mechanic or worst case a trip to the dealer can't fix. I also did a APR Stage 1 tune (ups the horsepower & torque) and it makes a huge difference it will throw you back in your seat and you can surprise a few S models by pulling away from them on the open road. Hope you enjoy it!

    • @301KYE
      @301KYE 4 года назад +1

      Kyle Johnson Aw man. I got the car pre-inspected before purchase and they told me that it was excessive pressure in the crank case (PCV). About a $900-$2000 fix depending on where you go. I have no lights on my dash though. Was just thinking they were trying to get some money out of me.

    • @kylejohnson3101
      @kylejohnson3101  4 года назад +1

      K D man yea no lights is good but 🤔🤔🤔id have audi diagnose whatever the issue is if the fix is about 900$ or so just id just get it fixed with them but if their there talk’in racks id take it do a good private shop if you got one in your area. I got got when i first picked up mines it had a computer wire brake line issue Audi resolved it for $1200 😣#OutOfWarrantyProblems

    • @301KYE
      @301KYE 4 года назад

      Kyle J That’s what I’ll probably do. I didn’t even take it to Audi to get it pre-inspected and it still came out to a $1900 fix 😅 so I can only imagine what Audi would’ve quoted me

    • @kylejohnson3101
      @kylejohnson3101  4 года назад +1

      K D yea its probably going to be expensive but have audi do the diagnosis at minimum you will know what your dealing with and shop around for the best shop & price to get it fixed. You can show them the diagnosis print out audi gives you

    Being 2020 what year and mileage will you buy for best value? I did find a 2013 with 37 thousand miles but I feel like i shouldnt spend that kinda of money on a 7 year old car.

    • @kylejohnson3101
      @kylejohnson3101  4 года назад

      Hey Rackesh The budget way save $$, If you want a nice car you can mod, and own out right, and keep for a while I think it's a great move a A7 3.0T 2013 with 37K miles. Just make sure you have a good shop for service that you can take it too (avoid the dealer for service if you can). I'm still modding my car and the engine tunes you can do can really increase the power. If want to get something you can resell/ for best value, I'd look for a S7 or a RS7 used from the same year with around 50K or 60K max miles. You can ECU tune a A7 3.0T and you will destroy any stock S7 out there & better gas mileage. If you mod it just keep it cuz when you sell it you won't get the full value for all your mods, so if you go that route make sure you love the car & keep it for a while( you'll save having no car payment)

    • @kylejohnson3101
      @kylejohnson3101  3 года назад +1

      @@felixriverafilms Yea i just hit 120k just did the rotors and brake pads last week. Its been solid no major issues , I do a lot of highway miles and with the Apr Stage 1 ecu tune its fun out on the open road the ecu tune takes off the limiter and unleashes the engine so you get a little over 400hp out of it ( so they say I never had it dyno’d) but it feels alot quicker . If your thinking about it I would say get one. My only regret is maybe I should have gotten a S7 or rs7 with the V8 but the V6 with the tune is plenty power and better gas mileage. So yea do it lol @k21reviews for more recent shots of what the car looks like now pretty much same just small detail mods
