Rust is an action-packed Survival adventure game. Whilst PvP is a dominant part of the game, base building and coming up with unique constructions whilst also trying to survive in the harsh lands of Rust is what makes Rust.. well Rust. Usually playing Solo definitely makes this game harder but it's the reason I'm always crawling back!

So much perfectly good human meat dropping next to your base. If you add some fish traps does it really matter what you put in them? Your shop is to expensive or people don't just happen to have bear meat. Could sell each gun for a different kind of fish food.

@leepeberdy7419 willjum definitely doesn't copy blue. Blue actually gets guns, pushes most fights, does real raids, etc. Willjum doesn't raid unless it's with a molly, runs from most fights, pretty much stays primlocked/never goes above tier 2 guns. It's a VAST difference!

Fish traps are so fantastic for a wipe day, built a 2x5 GREEN berry farm at the abandoned cabins using a half floor basement with 14 traps and 12 planters, got really lucky with some hemp clones and got a god clone super early as well, but its main purpose was to provide a constant supply of bait with berries, worms, and grubs. I had the same problem with hunting animals my first go at the fishtraps, so this time I did the farm. Also took advantage of all the sulfur pickups and sold GP for bear meat. Best solo method to get rich really fast!

I often make a fishing base to earn a quick scrap during the dark hours.
But shooting ppl from your roof/base will indeed make alot of enemies and u will ofc get offlined as soon as u logged off 😅

You needed to team up with wiljum this wipe, he can’t step out a base without a bear trying to eat him, also it’s cheeper to repair the traps with a hammer than make new ones
Willijums got to do this and call it Revenge on the bears.
Or like duo with bears in rust.

Great video, very cool passive scrap income idea. 👍 Best way I know of to get fast hqm is metal detector, usually around 50 per night cycle.
Did anyone buy the cloth? I was thinking why not combine a fish farm with a cloth farm. Sell the cloth for bear meat which feeds your fish farm.
Straight after watching this video I watched aloneintokyo. I got super triggered when he didn't loot all the available bear meat 😂

Cali i just wanted to mention this weird glitch with bears that I ran onto on my last wipe. At the mining outpost there were 5 bears stacked up on the outside corner of the building. So I kept killing them and when one went down another one would show up and join the pile. Eventually I think I killed the original bear and they stopped showing up, but if I didn't it would of been endless. Not sure what was going on, but this was on console.

Furthermore, i think, if you lowered the foundations a bit more, where you have your traps, you will get sharks to. Salmon is 4,5 m depth and sharks are 5,5 m depth according to the link. I havent tried it yet but i will after your vid.

@CaliRust 16x scopes are best for hqm imo i tried this fishtrap method and it works like a charm i managed to get 5k scrap just in matter of hours with that 5k scrap i bought alot of 16x scopes and got like 1k hqm 32 per scope in safezone 48 in non-safezone and after awhile the scope price lowers to 150 scrap piece thanks to the new vending machine update..

Easiest way to get fast HQM is with the metal detector. Gets crazy fast hqm for little work.

I also gut the fish ( salmon ) to get blue cards, pistol ammo or scrap
You can gut worthless fish for +5 bait. Even trout, for 4 pieces of bait, if you got it like that.
Edit: they buffed bear/wolf meat to +10 bait rating
Bait has levels now. Wolf, bear, small trout and yellow perch are all level 10.
You need level 10 bait to get level 10 fish like small sharks

On console I can make 100 scrap every minute and a half selling fertilizer at bandit. Best scrap method I've found.

Hey I’m currently living in a base with a fish trap basement floor :) very chill way to spend a night in base.

years ago you could leave bait in 1 slot, and keep 4 salmons in the other slots, this way the only fish you can catch is salmon. Not sure if still works. But could make 10000s of scrap this way while afk. Back when rust had only 2 kinds of fish.
and just take all the extra fish, and keep stacks of 1s
