@@IslandCreek It fun to rip with this little thing! I gotta fly it more. Was spending a lot of time flying it when I recently picked it up but now that I've been shooting more fast moving subjects, I haven't touched the DarkStar in months.
i've spent 23 mins in the simulator & on how i was able to get the flow of it slightly, id think this drone would fit me best as a start 😂, vibe video broski, would like to see an update video on your skills with this drone 4 - 6 months later!
I honestly thought it wouldn't be that hard to fly indoors but I was so wrong. I need more practice and maybe an update video a few months down the line is a possibility!
No post stabilization! Just turned on the built in option and that's it. I noticed it mostly only has issues with prop wash. Other than that, pretty solid.
Same for me, couldn't fly it indoors, but then again, I'm not that skilled yet lol. Really fun flying it outdoors though, doesn't intimidate people too
I love this drone outside, it's really fun and isn't loud! Indoors is a completely different story for me. Every single indoor flight resulted in a crash. Pretty durable though lol.
this was my first non dji drone and a little sim time and i was up and runningstraight awayhighly recomend for a first drone and batterys are cheap enough to buy like 8 at a time
That's defiantly something that's great about these smaller drones which use smaller batteries. I got a four pack of 2s batts for the DarkStar for about the same price as one 6s.
I have fun with this drone. But there are some other ones the same size that take more than a 2s. I kind of wonder if I made the wrong decision jumping on this one when it first came out. But I do love flying in places you wouldn't think of with your bigger drones.
@@ArtYari_ But the one that probably gets the greatest reviews is the flywoo flylens 85 and now the 75 just came out. That one is 2s also and I don't think I've seen a bad review.
I couldn't connect the drone to the radio and I thought it was because they were on two different versions, so I updated ELRS on my radio. But apparently you can't update from 2.x to 3.x directly without a partitioner first, so I ended up bricking my radio. When I finally got it fixed, I couldn't bind the radio to my other drone and had to update that one as well. Basically, if you plan to update ELRS, look it up first.
Darkstar20 is way better than the cinelog20. Ive crashed the Darkstar20 full speed into a metal pole. No damage. The cinelog20 broke a prop gaurd landing on grass softly. Also its super loud. The geprc 500mah recommended batteries gives up 5-8 minutes its weird. For indoors fun get a hummingbird v3 its cheap
I can concur on the prop guards on the cinelog 20. T they were originally designed for quads that half it's weight and power. You'll break one of those things bouncing on the grass and won't know it until you are flying and the quad starts to behave unpredictably from the prop hitting the guard.
i wouldnt call it the perfect micro...its super slow and heavy...its decent for a heavy micro cinewhoop but its extremely underpowered and heavy if youre looking for acro or freestyle flights. great for slow vids not great for ripping. not being negative, just want to make sure ppl that havent flown it know what to expect if theyre looking at one. theres better options for ripping for sure
Oh yeah, I agree about that! That’s why I mentioned it feels like the drone doesn’t want to rip, but it is still fun to try ripping it. Slow flying is where this drone feels comfortable.
I am currently in a civil union with a geprc darkstar20.. great video
How do you like it?
@ArtYari_ you know man, I really like it.. it has taken a lot.. zippy but can cruise. .. I'm pretty happy about it

Nice smooth video, rocksteady or Gyro? both are not working for me seeing vibrations =(

Beta Fpv meteor is really good indoors, I take it outside when the wind isn’t crazy but a blast around the yard.

Yup, that's exactly how I felt too. Kind of wish I did get one with a 4s.

Would like to know if it aBNF and what serious DJI googles are you using.
Yeah it’s a BNF, This one is with O3 and ELRS.
I’m used the Goggles V2
What was the ELRS issue you mentioned in the beginning?

For this drone equipped with the DJI O3, do you need a suitable mask to have video feedback or does an Eachine type receiver do the trick?

I believe Eachine is analog so that wouldn’t work with dji air unit since it’s digital.
yeah with O3 you need DJI goggles v2 or newer.
What do you recommend for removing the DarkStar20 propeller? :)
I have no idea. Actually this is one of my concerns. It’s not completely obvious how to remove the props.
I just order mine. I hope I like lol. I was also thinking about getting the Cinelog 20 instead. 😂
Hope you get it soon! Their shipping takes a good while.
Does it have extra UART for connecting a nano gps?
is it strong enough to hold a separate camera on top?
Definitely not. It’s barely strong enough for itself.
I think you should check out Flywoo's Flylens 57\85. It's really good.
I would be down if they sent me one lol

How different are the flight characteristics between the Darkstar20 and Cinelog20?
@ArtYari_ cinelog20 is definitely faster and more acrobatic. If it wasn't so fragile it would be on top. The Darkstar20 is a durable cruiser.

This video makes FPV look non intimidating considering it would be fun to fly in my house 🏠
It could be as long as you practice flying indoors. Personally I have no experience flying indoors so I struggled a lot.
