- N'Oubliez Jamais is a ballad written by Russ Kunkel and James Cregan, part of 'Across from Midnight', the sixteenth studio album by Joe Cocker, released in 1997.
The videoclip starred French actress Catherine Deneuve, who gained recognition for her portrayal of icy, aloof and mysterious beauties for various directors, including Luis Buñuel, François Truffaut and Roman Polanski. 14-time César Award nominee, Catherine Deneuve won for her performances in Truffaut's The Last Metro (1980), for which she also won the David di Donatello for Best Foreign Actress, and Régis Wargnier's Indochine (1992).

I'm just passing into that age where I'm beginning to realise what this song is about. Joe Cocker, for his generation, was a rebel (before he started doing whatever he thinks he's doing now), and this song is probably the last statement of any kind we'll hear from him. Wonderful.

When i was 15 i bought my first CD player but had no money left to buy CDs; the same day, a friend of mine got a Joe Cocker disc as a present, but he was a reggae addict and thought "rock" sucked. He gave me the disc, and since i had nothing else to listen to i took it, although i had never heard about that guy before. That's how i discovered Joe Cocker, about 15 years ago and i never stopped to listen to his music since then. How strange life can be sometimes...

Joe Cocker song I had not heard before. Says a lot for how each generation has their own music and desires, how the older generation should understand that. The title translates to "Never Forget". Guess that's why I like playing my old songs from days gone by so that I don't forget.
