Thanks Jan, for this update. I personally am not surprised and expect more to come as the government cannot continue with historical/legacy laws at the expense of country's economy growth. Happy to see this gradual change, remains to be seen how big is the vision of lawmakers ??
Thank you for the video and for the information! Could you please suggest any cheaper Health insurance for International students in Prague for the purpose of long term visa renewal?
Hello I have a question if you don't mind I was contacted by the consulate to go get my health insurance, and they told me to get it for a year (even though I'm under master's program which is two years and my application is the green form for residence permit for studies) When that year ends, will I be forced to renew my health insurance for the second year or do I not have to do that? I'm kinda concerned that if the limit will start at 400,000 euro insurance then maybe I should get two years while I can do the cheap option. What do you think?
Hey! Yes, student visas/residence permits ate usually only issued for one year so you meed to renew. As for the price, I think it will still be cheaper than now, just more expensive than before the monopoly (used to be say 12k a year, 26k after the monopoly - I would say something in between now, but we'll see).
@@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert Hello, thank you for your reply. So when I renew my residence permit, I'll also have to renew my health insurance? Also is the renewal process as stressful and time consuming as the initial visa process, or is it something you shouldn't worry about without any interviews of chance of rejection? I don't particularly like the thought of spending a year studying for master's degree only to be told "we're not renewing your residence permit because we don't like your vibe anymore" or some shit. Also, if I go back home for the summer and my residence permit expires in the meantime, will I not be allowed back into the Czech republic without renewing my residence permit at the local consulate again? Should I take caution and submit a request for renewal to the ministry before I leave for summer break?
@@rainman5103 A lot of questions :) 1. Yes, you must be insured during your whole stay in CZE so you will insurance for all applications including extensions. 2. Yes, the immigration will generally remain stressful since the MOI can always deny your apllication if they want. Renewals are easier thougj since you apply inside of the Czech Republic, there is no interview and you can stay here legally suring the whole approval process. 3. Never leave the Czech Republic without having a visa to come back. If you are in the renewal process and need to travel, always get a bridge visa and come back before it expires :)
Hi Jan, your videos are very informative. I have a question regarding public insurance for kids under 18 with residence permit. Does it mean their parent wont need to pay like one time 2 years insurance like before prior residence permit application?

UK citizen here, very interested in that digital nomad visa. do we know how long it can last for, and could it lead to permanent residence/citizenship?
Thank you for the updates Jan! Very informative. Hopefully the digital nomad visa opens up to other nationalities. That's if it doesn't go sideways before then! 😅 And ooof opening up of the health insurance market? I never thought I'd see the day!! 🎉🎉
Hi, I have an appointment in India on 25th July through government programme for employee card. I have my post graduation degree translated in Czech and apostilled which I completed in distance mode. Please let me know if Czech Embassy will accept distance education Certificate as education proof.
Hey! I do not think it matters if it was present or distant as long as you have the same degree (i.e. Bachelor's, Master's etc.), also depends on what the job requires. I would need to be involved in the situation to be able to tell you more.
Hello Jan Thanks for information and updates Could you be kind to please clear my below query..? I will get ICT card on (24/7) and under family reunification my wife and my son (5 month old) have received confirmation for visa but embassy is asking for health insurance document for my son and wife for comprehensive coverage covering complete duration of stay in CZ (eg 2 years) it is practically not possible for me to buy also as mentioned on below link that foreigners with long term residence permit and below 18 years will be covered under public health insurance effective from 1.1.2024 in this case what would you suggest to go for..? Buy insuraance or wait further..? Planning for family reunification in month of October 23 Ps: insurance companies are not ready to offer health insurance for 5 month baby for 6 months they can offer min. 1 year ( only company offering health insurance is pvzp and no other so I don’t have options left 😞) Thanks in advance for your answer Ashish
Hey Ashish, I would recommemd buying the insurancw from pVZP so you have no problem with getting the visa/residence permit and sort out the rest later. At the point when you need the insurance your child will anyway not have the long-term residence permit so you will not be able to register them to the public system anyway 🤷
Hello Jan One more query could you please confirm… Once visa is confirmed by embassy within how many days passport must be stamped..? Is there any deadline..eg if passport not stamped within 60days does it means embassy can cancel visa..? Thanks in advance.
Hi sir ..I have to ask one question ..my visa interview was on 28 June in delhi... Then I visited there and the interviewer didn't ask me any questions and he even didn't ask my name and after one month I got the mail from embassy that you have to come for the second interview and carry bank statement documents ...so this is normal to get the visa on second interview sir ?

At this point, there is only this one option - pVZP. We'll see how soon the monopoly will be canceled, I will keep you updated for sure!

Nowadays MOI is taking how many days for study visa approval?
Watch this video: ruclips.net/user/liveCOBiUXc4FYE?feature=share . Closer to September, the longer it takes generally.
