Inverter, the same function and basic principle as your home-ups!. Inverter because it elevates the voltage, converter because it is converting DC to pseudo AC. But in real it is a DC 1.5v to pulsar DC 220v or good enough, for pseudo AC you needs to run the transformer backward, so it is required another transistor handling the other half.
How does this work the transistor isn't connected to any external controller to turn it on and of and without that there's no ac current so the transformer shouldn't work?

It should be a great great mind-shocking invention if you measure the output voltage with voltmeter as well as wave form with oscilloscope.
Sweet bro
this is real guys you need electronics 101 for dummy to understand
this is call switching power supply(Joule thief) it oscillating to 50hz that is why you heard a weird noise when he connect the battery
The sound depends on the load, as the current getting pulled off controls the rate of oscillation. No load will simply short the battery out lol.
Can you explain a bit more, how long can one battery like that power a 220v light bulb? How is the efficiency of a circuit like that? does it heats up and how big of a load can it handle? :D this seems really cool to me

Very good video
Converter not inverter
Inverter, the same function and basic principle as your home-ups!. Inverter because it elevates the voltage, converter because it is converting DC to pseudo AC. But in real it is a DC 1.5v to pulsar DC 220v or good enough, for pseudo AC you needs to run the transformer backward, so it is required another transistor handling the other half.
If this is true, that will be mind blowing.

How does this work the transistor isn't connected to any external controller to turn it on and of and without that there's no ac current so the transformer shouldn't work?

No no you can't do It that lamp has own battery and it need very low power to work

Not sure its real or fake. But automotive coils take in 12V and put out10,000 volts, so its very possible. Tesla did lots of this kind of stuff, too bad the money mongers were against him, they should have worked with him and embraced his genius, but they were blinded by greed and money.

it`s real, yeah you got he clue! it`s just a transformer with a small oscillator. you can also do it more efficently with 2 FET .. it`s a Inverter

No, this is not a fake. This is a standard blocking generator, it can be made on absolutely any transistor, PNP, NPN, anyway! it works even with the 92 case at 0.1A. just need to take a 12-0-12 transformer for example, and connect a collector to terminal 1, to the extreme base, in the middle of the power + or -, depending on the transistor, npn or PNP!
