He stated multiple times he just wants to play golf with George, so this will give him time to do that. Plus, he'll still play in some PGA tour events and he'll likely play the DP too. If I were a LIV executive I would offer him to be part of Rahmbo's team for next season.
I watched the entire telecast today. Those were severe conditions and he got the wrong end of the draw playing the ocean course on the more windy day. He was such a dawg playing up through this tournament, I’m gutted for him. He’ll at least have conditional status in ‘25 finishing between 126 - 150 in points. So, full Korn Ferry status, some PGA tournaments, and RUclips. He can hang his head tall knowing that with his back against the wall starting the Fall season he played very solid.
He said if he was cut, he would be okay with it as long as it was performance based. He said this multiple times with gratitude and respect to the PGA and the fans.
The conditions on the ocean course sucked today and the golf channel average scores showed the evidence. Ocean course yesterday and Plantation course both days averaged in the 70s, but the Ocean course today averaged in the 73s. Luck of the draw unfortunately...
I watched it all. They showed every shot on tv. He had two downwind shots from about 60 yards that didn't spin and went over the back off the green. Both ended with bogeys. It was a killer.
I had it on while I was working....gawlly I was gutted. Very difficult day, and looked like the other course had it a lot easier. Those 2 shots over the green, on the back 9....too much to overcome
I can't say that I didn't see this coming. Wesley was playing against a stacked deck under difficult conditions. I'm not happy about his failure but I figured that this was a possibility after he choked in Bermuda soon after shooting a 61. Sooner or later pressure gets to everybody. Most people don't know it, but pro golf is mostly played in the 6 inch area between your ears. Sometimes it's almost like you have to will yourself to win. A strong mind and the will to succeed is an essential ingredient to winning.
Once a handful of top players join LIV he will move up into the top 125 anyway. It would be awesome if he joined his friend Jon Rahm on LIV Legion 13. Doubt it will happen but at least he can plan his schedule...
I'm not an expert, but I think he could still make it in. They have two guys that have moved up to like 120 on the list but that's because they're doing really well in the tournament if they were to play poorly on the weekend and get like near the bottom of the leaderboard they would drop out of the 125. I think that's how it works.
Love your stuff man. I’ll watch the next video that’s not Wesley-centric. Got a bad taste in my mouth from his early videos with George. Big-dogged him too much. Go watch them. I know we give our brothers Sh!t sometimes. But he was an asssss to George in the early days.

Yes, wedge game ironically got him.
Said the same. Downwind and downgrain just too tough.
He'll get exemptions into a few tournies, get to film youtube, all is well in the Bryan househould.

Damn, saw it on Golf Channel a short time ago..bogey, double bogey, par, bogey.
While watching Wes and George take down Rick and Pete at Solina on YT.

This was really rough and sad to watch. I was pulling hard for him. Really sucks but nice run in the fall. Such horrible conditions.

Bummer...

I just looked it up it says he made the cut right at 125
