    Thanks for the video Mark and Sam. In the US great entertainment for a Saturday evening. All the Thanks! You’re a great mentor.
    Great engineering research. I certainly appreciate common sense perspectives.

    Thanks for another quality ELR video... I tell everyone that Mark and Sam have some of the best ELR shooting videos on the Internet. Mark, you have a great way of simplifying a complex subject and making it easy to understand for those that are new (or even those that aren't so new) to long range shooting. 👍

    Thanks for all of the great information. You are one of the few shooters that can explain how and why you use and why. Most shooters are like talking to Doctors. I don't understand a thing that they are saying. I plan on trying my hand shooting at longer ranges as soon as my pocketbook will let me. Thanks again to you and Sam.

    Just a thought Mark, making 40, 50, and 60 moa bases to a variety of actions could be another elr product you guys could offer. As the market is geared up for prs, the majority of bases only offer 20 and 30 moa for all actions with the exception of nightforce's rem700 40 moa base.

    This incredibly interesting stuff. I would have loved to get into this when I was younger. But in all honesty, I don't know as I have ever been to a place where I could shoot miles out. We have a hard time finding a 600 yard range here. And with all the roads and people around, can't imagine being able to set up to shoot that far.

      @@HanstheTraffer I've been to Winnequah and $335 is a bargain! I'm in Northern Illinois and my shooting range membership is around $450 a year (more if I buy out my work hours). If I shot at local indoor ranges I would end up spending more plus I could never shoot long range! Lol

    Hey Mark, I run the 10-60x56mm High Master Myself with the Recknagel and a Charlie Tarac! I find I can use the extra magnification sometimes and it works great. The March glass is amazing in the HM version, it's definitely the best of all high mag scopes I have used. Started with the Sightron S3 10-50x60mm moved to a Schmidt 12-50, then to the 10-60x56mm HM. It's my go to setup at the moment, I like not having to cant things, Would love to hear how you rate the optical performance of the 10-60 HM to the Genesis, I wondered if they were actually using the same glass.
    I did modify the turrets on the HM, was about to do a video on it. The zero stop also slips if you don't lock it down with the little set screws.

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  5 лет назад

      Hi Chris, yes I think glass is at least very similar, the image quality I have seen so far is the same level, when I get a chance to use I share more, and yes the Charlie does well for the extra/extra moa, but just no real accurate way to set of record the moa you are using, would be nice to at least have some precise set points, anyway more stuff coming all the time, Cheers

      @@markandsamafterwork MTR-1 reticle? My favorite, it's the finest reticle in the world, a tad bit finer than the MOAR-T. FYI John has the click adjustable Tarac almost out, I think you can order it now. Pricey but it will be worth it to adjust this thing in the field.

    Love your videos, Ive been watching for a long time now! I just had one question. What method do you use to level your scopes when mounting them? I know being even slightly off when shooting ELR can drastically impact where the rounds are hitting down range so I would imagine you need them damn near perfect when leveling. I would love to see a video of how you go about actually setting everything up! Cheers

    I recently purchased the RAM 200 from valadada optics and so far it's showing a +7.5-8% elevation discrepancy at the 100 MOA adjustment. I haven't been able to shoot the 150 or 200 MOA adjustment at a tall target test yet, my guess is it's only going to get worst. Have you noticed any similar? Also, when going back to zero adjustment my 100y zero is off by 3.5-4 MOA low.

    question....so with the adjustable bases do you set them at zero then zero your rifle at 100 Yards irrespective of what size fixed base scope rings your using.
    another great video Mark...thankyou for sharing

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  5 лет назад

      You can use them as you like, you can use them as part of the moa needed to get your scope set up, I, as explained put them on the correct custom rail and set everything at zero to 100 yards, then I can get the most elevation adjustment out of them, cheers

    Mark, when setting up a scope for ultra long range, say the NF 5-25 ATACR F1, which has 120 MOA of internal elevation adjustment, do you bottom out the elevation when setting up the scope? In other words, do you dial down from the factory midpoint (60 MOA) all the way to the bottom of the scope’s elevation adjustment when zeroing the rifle at 100 yards in order to give yourself the ability to potentially come up through all of the scope’s 120 MOA of elevation for use in the field? Is that how you are able to get roughly 160 or 200 MOA of elevation adjustment assuming the use of rails and bases with 20 or 40 or 60 built in MOA elevation as the case may be? Thanks for these great videos. Keep ‘em coming. I’m basically just watching as many of these as you are producing because i am presently in the process of setting up my first extremely long range gun, a SAKO TRG.

    Can I get them turrets to fit any scope or do they have to come on the scope from the factory. I got a center point 6x20x50 adj obj and took the smaller center point off and put the bigger one on my 300 Winchester magnum. Just wondering if the scope has to come from the factory with the turrets or can I buy turrets and put on it for yardage and windage.
