    Some of this reminds me of my happily missspent youth. Back in the early to mid 60s I drove cross country many times; at that time only bits of the interstate had been created, so the majority of the trip was two lane coast to coast. Cruising into a small diner in a nowhere town at 3 am to try your luck at their burger and coffee--an America that has long since disappeared, more's the pity! I particularly love the roads between Denver and the west coast. Thanks for creating this!

      You're welcome. I love driving trips and want to relax and relive them long after I cant drive. Maybe by then, we will be in self-driving cars, huh? Sounds like you have some great experiences. Glad you like these videos. Thank you for sharing your story.

    My favorite part of deiving back and forth to these places is that big tunnel.

      How was your drive? I might be doing this trip at Christmas with my family.And I wanna make sure that i'm taking the safest route possible. I heard that Highway 70 will get you to Salt Lake City.Utah faster than 80 and that highway 70 is more entertaining.But I also heard something about root six and Route fifty eight

      @anarizmoore it went well. Its so pretty and the interstate is pretty well maintained... just watch out for other drivers that go like 20 above the speed limit and tailgate like crazy. Make sure you got lots of water and some supplies just in case a storm rolls in and you get stuck in traffic. It should be fine tho; I enjoyed the trip

      @FoxtaleHi so awesome for you to respond! Thank you for the advice! I-70 here we come!
      One.
      Last question that I forgot to put in my original comment.
      Is there anything to do outside of skiing that you personally recommend in salt lake city?

    • @FoxtaleHi
      @FoxtaleHi 29 дней назад +1

      @anarizmoore The Salt Flats... you gotta see them. Also even if youre not religious or mormon, the cathedral is pretty cool to look at. Only members are allowed in but the architecture in Salt Lake is very pretty. Safe travels!

    This part of I-70 is the most beautiful piece of interstate I've driven in the US so far. It was a very long time ago (1994) when I drove from New York City to Los Angeles in a rental car, but I still have fond memories of this section of travel through spectacular scenery. Thanks for the upload. All the best from Switzerland, take care.

      @Roi Danton if you get to come back check out 550 from Durango to Ouray, it’s the Switzerland of America. We are also visiting The real Switzerland this year in fall, can’t wait to see the real deal!

    This ride doesn't look intimidating.
    What toute did you take?
    Was it I-70?
    Good during the winter time since the road looks wide.

  • @daniel4655

    Beautiful scenery, would be even more spectacular in winter assuming the roads are open

      I think you are absolutely right, but I was trying to avoid a winter road trip cause I've seen some rough snow on the news in those parts :p

      Thank you. I use a GoPro with a 512Gb sd card which allows for a long recording. I then pull all the files into my editing software sequentially. Each file is 4Gb max, but they string together seamlessly.

    We are planning to go on road trip from Denver to yellow stone during next summer. Are the roads narrow and risky to drive?
    From looking at ur video, it doesn’t look like that.

    • @roadtripsandotherdistracti3596
      @roadtripsandotherdistracti3596  Год назад

      You'll be fine on the major highways (i.e., I-80 and I-15). I can't speak to the last stretch into the Park. That's for another road trip on the list ;)

      Thank you for the comment. That is the exact feeling I was hoping to have. It can become quite mesmerizing. I like to watch it through my TV sometimes to see it on that bigger screen. Some people don't like that there is no sound, but I play music on the drives, and RUclips would have copyright issues with the background radio music.

      @@roadtripsandotherdistracti3596 Yea, music will need copyright. For your videos, adding a little road noise is not a bad idea tho, it's more real. Check out the channel/video here, I watch his channel too, I enjoy just leaving the video on on the TV, it feels great. ruclips.net/video/4p8UNYGZ8rg/видео.html
