Thank you for watching!
I have read book 1 and 2 of Knausgaard and am addicted. I am nosey about other people’s lives and he describes his with unusual honesty. I also like slow TV and films so I enjoy his endless descriptions of him making coffee!!
Completely agree that Min Kamp makes for perfect audiobooks. It was interesting to hear your thoughts on it (book 3 is also my least favorite). I'm glad Jente 1983 is good! I really want to read more by Ullman. I may need to pick up the Norwegian edition as it doesn't look like it's getting translated anytime soon. Great month! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I don't know if you have many foreign subs but you could mention that Linn was the daughter of the Norwegian former actress Liv Ullmann and if I'm not mistaken the Swedish famous director Ingmar Bergman.
New haircut!
Wow, you read a lot this month, including the big chunky ones. I really should get back to listening to more audiobooks. It's nice to have options when reading. I zoomed through the Mistborn books, probably because they were written for young adults, so the language isn't difficult and there is so much action. I think you said you didn't like the first one, so I'm wondering how you will react to the next.
I have found that Knausgard and Fosse draw me in by the almost rhythmic way the text flows. It feels somewhat like looking through another’s eyes and that is quite a talent.
I just finished book 2! He’s definitely a lot more revealing and ‘real’, to an extent that seems a bit uncomfortable at times, but also so profoundly human. I did get upset and angry at him when he described the arguments and fights with his wife, where he purposely withheld his love even though he knew about her delicate mental state. Other parts too, still planning to start book 3 soon
stilen av Linn sin bok , å snakke til en annen person minner meg om Ingmar sin til (szener av et ektesskap) eller Liv sin film 'Trosøs'begge filmer kan bare anbefales, fantastiske, synes jeg😀
I didn't finish these books, for me he is too booring.
