- Some time has passed since I ran out of shelf space and I have been on the lookout for more storage. Finally I have found shelves and in this video I am talking about them. Hope you like it.

They look really nice and organized. I remember the trend of turning books backwards so you couldn't see the spines and the trend of organizing books by color. That would have driven me mad. I just want to be able to find a book when I want to read it.
It's funny that your kids are so interested in the shelves. I miss reading to the little ones. They get so excited and absorbed in the story.
Totally agree.. I could never have particiapted in that trend.. I like the colorfulness of a bookshelf.
Oh yes, reading for the kids is one of the best things of being a parent. They are still very young, but I hope they will continue to be so fond of books that they are today.

I do have nonfiction-fiction sections to make it easier to find. Hard back/soft cover mixed in together.
I will get there eventually, but I need more non-fiction first I think 😅
Very cool! Congrats on necessitating more shelves! Definite bookworm behavior haha. I love having all my books displayed because you can more easily find what you are looking for, and see what all you have, and locate a book if you want to lend it or do a buddy read or for any reason. Plus I just love the aesthetic of seeing shelves and shelves of books. But I don't like this business where people organize their shelves by color. What the hell. The thought of having a series and not having them next to each other, let alone next to other books by that author, makes my head want to explode. I like to organize by genre, mostly.
Thanks!! Haha, oh yes, I could never organize my books after color.. Thats seems a bit crazy. At some point I will probably go down the genre-route and maybe even have a nordic-section, but I feel like I need more books first 😅

Thanks! I have actually tried that before but it seems that it becomes more and more exciting the more inaccessible the books are 😅 Also they have 3 bookshelves of their own, which they luckily use as well.

haha so true - I just moved to an old house and it badly needs work so my books are in storage now but before I moved I had around 13 bookshelves spread out between the living room, bedroom, family room, guest room . . . it was kind of like living in a used book store. My kid told me "Mom, if you ever get hard up for money, you could just put an OPEN sign on the door and start selling off your inventory" LOL
