This sounds like the obscure 2 A.M. television programs with very few people watching and you're among the few priviliged one to watch in the calm of the night.
You are close. The beginning of the track is inspired by one of the HBO feature movie intros from 1979-1982. ruclips.net/video/6OFayYxp0qM/видео.htmlsi=Svq-p6dTkPnzB3ij
The thing i love about vaporwave is that (of course) it's vaguely familiar and nostalgic, which initially draws you in and holds you for a time, but as you keep it around in your life, it gradually becomes a concrete part of your fond memories of the more recent phases of your life, in and of itself. It starts as blank nostalgia to project your past on, but ironically becomes colored by real nostalgia for when you discovered vwave and listened heavily
been listening for five or six years and it's beginning to approach that point for me, especially the truly seminal releases like this one... it's weird. great comment.
so ahead of its time and painfully underrated. I really don't see why this album shouldn't have achieved the notoriety of floral shoppe and the like. if you're here, you know how important this one was in shaping the future of vaporwave. but I'm thankful it has cemented its place among fans of the genre, and I kinda dig the underdog status. long live midnight television!!
this is my favorite vaporwave album and among my top 5 favorite albums of any artist. everything vaporwave artists try to do, midnight television does in 10 minutes. i can’t describe how much i love this album. it’s the peak late of night lo-fi/vaporwave in general and it came out in 2011.

Now Playing is probably the best vaporwave theme out there: electronic, nostalgic, "the future is now while watching TV", futuristic design will soon be obsolete.
this reminds me of sitting in my grandparents basement and watching jepodary for some reason, or going to the laundry mat with my mom at night when all of the city would be asleep and faint lights and sounds of the washing machines running. too much? ^^
I was just fresh out of high school when this came out. 18 to early 20s were a hella Vaporwave era for me and this album is definitely one of those albums that always takes me back to those simple free but scary days of entering my 20s.
Sounds like driving to work at 6am drinking coffee in the car and the weather channel radio news opening with the first track of this album and the: "good morning america" in the background starting a new fine weekend finally.
I also love how Commercial Dreams sounds like a 70s leftover, since that was definitely a part of late 80s/early 90s midnight television lol. Makes me think of M*A*S*H or some shit like that
this reminds me so much of the beauty of this years summer, it was so beautiful!, vancouver, lots of cannabis and my vegan and routine exsercise climax! Will never forget!
1.paint yourself white 2.dye your hair white 3.wear white contact lenses 4.wear a white toga 5.stand perfectly still in a greenhouse or abandoned mall. 6.CONGRATULATIONS,あなたが勝つ!
I'll tell you.first you have to drink Arizona then Fiji water dress with baggy clothes I guess I'm not sure how to dress like it tho just try to mock vaporwave like even have wallpapers I have like over 100 wallpapers to worship vaporwave and dress like you in the 90s.
TheMandilon77 midnight television and other vaporwave artists are very smart and creative because they can make something that we heard every day be music
Can someone please tell me what, or where this music is from 🤔. I know what the music that starts playing at 03:04 is from[saved by the bell], but I'm confused as to where all the rest of the tracks come from 🤔.
Don't get me wrong i think this stuff is entertaining in a pisstake sense of a way, but to take it seriously is surely emperors new clothes! The people who made this, yyu and mackintosh plus are having a giggle at the hipsters expense, where by if you make something that sounds experimental, put it out on an independant label (for that extra bit of cred!) and not too many people find out about it or hype it up, then you know the hipsters will lap it up cos apparently just by it's obscurity it's better than anything else you've EVER heard! If this was on a major label and very well known you lot would drop it like a hot potato, because it's not underground so you don't look special being into it!!!!
+twitchygiraffe or you know, people could legitimately like this genre regardless of it's exposure. Just because someone likes obscure music doesn't make them a hipster, liking obscure music for the sake of it being obscure is what makes someone a hipster.

iirc that's very close to what it is sampled from. an old vhs recording of a weather channel
i wonder who got inspired by this....

Wow, this was released in May 2011? It was pretty ahead of its time wasn't it. This was released even before Floral Shoppe Macintosh Plus.
So ahead
It says 2015
@@epicbottleflips5032 yeah, thats when it was uploaded, dipshit. The album came out in 2011
It's funny that an album from 2011 that's going for an 80s style can be ahead of its time, but you're right
@@magistermundi2882 not nice, lets all be midnight television friends
The fact that this album gets so little recognition is truly depressing.
asdfghjkl
+ha7n al malik yeah :(
wtf the guy I was responding to deleted his comment thats gay
+ha7n al malik as fuck
*this genre

love it so much
man this was one of the releases that got me into vaporwave. hard to believe its been 11 years.
After party samples Emotions by Roger. The same song is sampled in END OF LIFE ENTERTAINMENT SCENARIO by sunset corp. :)
and Cuddle by Trademarks & Copyrights
This is like tuning in to an old radio station at 4:00am on the motorway, stars out, Cresent moon low over the horizon
Then the cover art is on point

Amazing classic.
Commercial dream brings me back to 1970s
It's like looking at a photo and being brought with feelings and memories.
Now Playing is probably the best vaporwave theme out there: electronic, nostalgic, "the future is now while watching TV", futuristic design will soon be obsolete.

beautiful.
minionishere that generally tends to be the feel of a lot of vapor wave, so nah. You’re good
Really? The laundromat? I thought I was the only one..
nope
why the laundromat? and why do I agree?
Short, but REALLY good, just like Diskette Romances
I love Blind Dates track, just for the Save by the Bell nostalgia.
Obligatory vaporwave album.
Jazzercise is still my favorite. It's one of those tunes that pops into my head every once in a while.
I don't know what I´m feeling but I'm feeling it.
that's _n o s t a l g i a_
I'm really feeling it
I'm 47 years old and I've been looking for this since I was 17.

The best of its kind!
Feels like Local on the 8s with the WeatherStar 3K or 4K, or using an old DirecTV receiver.
Sounds like driving to work at 6am drinking coffee in the car and the weather channel radio news opening with the first track of this album and the: "good morning america" in the background starting a new fine weekend finally.
It sounds so dreamy, soft, and soothing. 😊
i still find myself returning to this album
Hard not to return to it 🗿
Blind Dates is my favorite :) This album ist fantastic!! Love it!!!
Hard to believe this is a decade old now.
Blind Dates is the feeling of waking up on the couch at 2am because the TV is way too damn loud
Thanks for the ride: 8.5/10
Also 3:08 sounds like the tune from the Saved by the Bell reunion on Jimmy Fallon
I believe it is just that looped
Does anyone remember the music video for the Julian love sample used in Jazzercise, ‘baby all the time’? Sadly it’s no longer on RUclips
I also love how Commercial Dreams sounds like a 70s leftover, since that was definitely a part of late 80s/early 90s midnight television lol. Makes me think of M*A*S*H or some shit like that
I used to love falling asleep to those
best early Vaporwavee album
Commercial Dreams samples Disco Circus - Soul Sister
Only flaw this album has, is that it´s so short
Jazzercise is my life in a music.
10 years today
Weird how Vaporwave now gives me nostalgia, I mean it always invoked nostalgic feelings but now I'm nostalgic towards the genre itself
Blind dates sounds like a song from sonic
One of the albums to get beerontherug on the map
This is like a fucking warm blanket and I don't know why
all night
Blind Dates goes on for about 30 times as long as it needs to
the key is to slow it down to .75
Couldve sworn that song Blind dates track is a Saved by the bell sample.😅😅😅
this reminds me so much of the beauty of this years summer, it was so beautiful!, vancouver, lots of cannabis and my vegan and routine exsercise climax! Will never forget!
channel surfing fucking kills me lol
This is so surreal. 💜💙
Thank you so much for the free download! :D
that last track is kinda trippy

what is the sample "Now Playing" is from?
It's from the preview of an HBO televised program like a show or movie, from the 80's.
TheMandilon77 midnight television and other vaporwave artists are very smart and creative because they can make something that we heard every day be music
it is either Hatfield and the North, a fine UK progrock band or National Health, a band with shared personnel. late 70s / early 80s.
HBO Liquid Neon Intro
Channel Surfing sample ?
We still don’t know 😢
Still don't know :((((

Can you restore the mega link?
where the artwork came from?
Idrk but looks like some Vektrex game.
You can't even buy this from BOTR anymore. I would gladly pay for it, but I literally can't. Help?
Google "Vaporwave Essentials Mega" and you'll find a download there.
