@@RCKnockout ok, same here. I am already pretty happy with my slash ultimate. The reason why I don’t want to buy the maxx slash is because I don’t want to spend like $500 upgrading the bad stock electronics.
@@RCKnockout yes. The maxx parts are a lot more expensive than the slash parts. The slash has also been around for much much longer so many hobby stores support the slash.
Hello fellow slash basher here! Speaking on the tire glue situation. Try the traxxas beadlocks with the proline badlands. Works well for me! Nice build keep it up🤙
awesome video as always. You should get some RPM mud flaps for the rear bumper!! That'll help the looks a bit I think. I'd also love to see a bit more 3s run footage. Have a great weekend 🤘👏
I’m definitely gonna check those out…it would help complete the look of the short course truck…I might do some runs here and there on 3s but mostly I’ll be running it on 4s to test it’s limits
I’ve made a lot of videos since then….feel free to check out the Traxxas Slash 4x4 “Ultimate Basher Build” Playlist….it’s all in order….oldest to newest
Yeah they’re still holding up good….the one thing you got to watch out for is the little grub screws that hold the joints together have a way of backing out…..I’ve had the joint fall apart on me before because of that
@@loganselleck5112 yeah I put medium strength on….they still kept on backing out….might have to go red….they’ll be impossible to get out without heat though
@@loganselleck5112 yeah they’ve held up well for me over the last year and a half…..we’ll see going forward….now that I’m running this on 4s that’s really gonna test these driveshafts durability
Great video, always look forward to your videos, gives this old guy a heads up on which parts are good and which to avoid, thanks Brother!
Glad you’re enjoying the content and it’s helping you out! 👍😉
Have you thought about getting the new maxx slash??
No, I honestly haven’t been tempted to get one

@@Cyberbuildstudios yeah the 1/10 Slash 4x4 and Ultimate are already such good machines

You too! Thanks bro 😉
Cool session! Lots of power😎👏🏻👏🏻
Oh yeah!!
Would that esc motor combo run better and faster than stock vxl even if I’m still running a 2s battery
I’m not sure if it would run any better….it should run pretty good though
I saw your video from 2020 about the hardened steel cvd driveshafts and i was wondering if they are holding up good and if you recommend them.
Yeah they’re still holding up good….the one thing you got to watch out for is the little grub screws that hold the joints together have a way of backing out…..I’ve had the joint fall apart on me before because of that
@@RCKnockout ok thanks. Could I just put some medium strength loctite on it to make sure it doesn't come out?
