Triple Play Days are my FAVORITE!! Not only because we get to see three different quilt options, but I find the organic discussion & interactions between the three of you to be filled with valuable quilting wisdom! These videos are educational, inspiring and fun. THANK YOU GIRLS! ~~Christy~~
This one is jam packed. I love that, in my opinion at least, the MSQC philosophy is one of generosity. They don’t nickel & dime me to death & they share their knowledge. Yes, I’m sure it benefits them in sales as products & fabric lines are demonstrated. But I get a real sense of generosity of spirit from the MSQC organization & family.
Sat down, with my double dram of Bourbon and an after dinner cigar, and was sooo excited!! I LOVE Triple Play. Definitely my happy place: relaxing with a dram, a cigar, and RUclips MSQC Triple Play❤️ I wish you all knew how important you are to all of us! Thank You ☺️
Oh, Jenny! I thought you had that trim on your sleeves because you are the ranking (i.e. Captain) officer of your crew. Loved all of your sashing, ladies! All of your hard work is much appreciated. I had a yucky day and you three made it all better!
I am Laras from Bali Island, Indonesia. I always loved all of your tutorial you've made since 4 years ago. Then I stopped to watch all pactwork and quilting tutorial from 2 years ago, until I falling in love again with it and begin to watch many tutorial of yours. Really happy you healthy and made more and more tutorial until now. And you had really awesome team, 🥰🥰 thank you so much for all you gave. May Allah will always bless all of you, 🤗🤗🤗
You all work so hard for us and share like best friends would. I can’t tell you how much all of you are appreciated! Thank you so much! Blessing to you all!
I usually like all the triple play quilts. But one stands out over the others. This time it is a three way draw!!! They are all amazingly beautiful!!! Thank you 😊
Seminole strip piecing is wonderfully creative. As shown here it’s made of strip sets, cross cut in different widths and stair stepped down. Eventually it’s cut as we saw here. By using different widths, cross cuts and stepping down various amounts there’s no end of patterns. The simple one shown here was beautiful: limiting the colors and widths was a fabulous idea. It was a striking pattern and not complicated to make. The arrows!! That’s on my list of things to try very soon. And all of Jenny’s examples were fun: the showed what you can get with just quarter square triangles. Great show! (Apologies: I can picture the young’uns and know who made what but I can’t for the life of me remember their names!)
Dziękuję Ci Jenny za to, że dzielisz się z nami swoim olbrzymim doświadczeniem. I am a beginner - quilter from Poland. You are great, and your quilts are wonderful. Thank you very, very much. Your sincerly Urszula, Katowice, Poland.
Thank you for the info for each. And it was so nice I was able to add info sheets to my 3 ring binder book, quilting is my Happiness I bought when me and my daughters visited.❤️
Thank you sew much for all the great sashing patterns! Thank you also to Natalie for using the word "both" when she meant both rather than using the oft misused word "either." Saying to sew down either side indicates a choice of sewing down one side or the either not both.
Just laid out the hst sashing pieces between border print strips and it is stunning. Then laid them beside focus fabrics for placemats.. wow. Christmas gifts just fell into place. Needed a new "easy" idea today . I can do this! and every set will be unique ...all from a huge pile of hst. Thank goodness for clearly perfect trimmer!
I love the sampler and all of the ideas! Hourglass is amazing too! Never seen this b4. The last technique looked difficult. But, surprising came together what seems to b easy. A nice challenge. Ty 4 this
Jenny, you are so on my mind during this video. I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother and I recognize the grieving you are in. I just wanted you to know you are in my thoughts. Even though we have never met, through your tutorials and book I feel like I know your heart.....and I know right now it's sad. I lost my dad abruptly 8yrs ago and not a day goes by that I don't think of him.....and as cliché as it sounds, time will help. Happy Holidays!!
Wow! A MO Star Quilt Encyclopedia of the HST & other basic designs - all three highlighting SIMPLICITY of blocks. This is my favorite triple play thus far. And, I’m a fan of all of them. Thank y’all so much!
I love this ideas ! So much fun! Thanks so much gals. I just love watching you work together. Always a joyful time . My morning with a cup of coffee and you gals and a smile . 💕
I'm always on the lookout for new sashing ideas and these are great! You are so generous to share your ideas with us. That's part of what keeps me coming back to Missouri Star for more fabric and rulers! Watching a pattern sewn out on a RUclips channel with no measurements is just a cheesy way to get you to buy the pattern so I really appreciate that you don't do that. Thanks for sharing, inspiring, and providing us with all the fabric and tools we need to succeed! ❤️
I look at it differently, I guess. I know that every video produced by a retail establishment for its related RUclips channel is ultimately created to increase sales. RUclips is the 21st Century offspring of the 1980s Infomercial. 10-90 minutes in length, highlight a specific item/product/pattern, show features, possible alternate uses, benefits to having it in your life, and Ka-Ching! the (bit)coin starts flowing in. Retail business owners’ time is extremely valuable so if they are spending time creating RUclips content, there’s a nice return on that investment at some point or they stop. When a presenter other than the designer of a project starts to do a demo, it is highly likely permission to record the demonstration was requested ahead of time. In the case of patterns, the publisher and/or designer provides strict guidelines about what may and what must not be divulged in order to protect the intellectual property rights. Giving measurements means the designer does not get compensated for the work put into creating that pattern. Well-written patterns that are easy to follow are worth the investment. Cheesy? Perhaps. I’ll still choose to side with trying to give designers suitable compensation for their work. Besides, most of the channels I watch that do not give out other designers’ pattern measurements are extremely generous in providing the measurements for at least the size they are making of their in-house patterns. That seems reasonable to me. Even when MSQC has guest designers doing demos, most often the phrase, “the details are in the pattern” can be heard at some point in the video.
I truly love their transparency regarding the quilting patterns too (long may it continue) some of us quilters are already very financially challenged and I think it pays itself back a hundred times as subscriptions, buying from the website and the loyalty to the company. It's also great for people new to quilting. It was a MSQC tutorial that finally got me quilting, and I remember an interview in which Jenny said people all over the world make quilts from the tutorials.
I LOVE all three of you together! I can see how much you love and support each other ❤️ oh- and the quilts are beautiful too, I have been waiting months for La Vie Bohem and this is a beautiful way to show off the fabric!
Natalie.... I LOVE LOVE LOVE your quilt!! So simple yet so elegant and beautiful!! I wish I had all the time in the world... And non arthritic hands.. To make all the quilts I wanted to lol!! I love yall's show!
The Triple Play videos are by far my favorites of all the videos you produce. I really appreciate how you each approach the challenge individually. Then during filming the ideas bouncing back and forth among the three of you elevates all three projects. I think I need to create a quilt completely out of sashings. I don’t have enough years to make the number of projects to use all of the ideas bouncing around my brain!
Stuart Hilliard did that on one of his videos. He broke up the patterns with various sized plain borders. And he kept the colors and fabrics complementary (what I’m trying to say is that the prints didn’t have big differences in sizes and the colors didn’t swear at each other.) Tons of options
That was so cool! I am a beginner and have made half square triangles for flying Greece, but never realised I could use the technique in so many ways!! I love these triple tutorials- great synergy between you. Thank you (London UK)
So happy you showed the cutting of 10" squares wrinkles and all... THAT is the reality of using the fabrics we have collected for YEARS.. Leaving it all behind scares me....LOL GrammaBabs
I thought I learned how to do Misty’s sashing technique from Jenny years ago. Now I’m scratching my head trying to remember where I did learn it??? Enjoyed all 3 quilt tutorials. They were packed full of great ideas! Thanks. :)
I am so happy to see Seminole piecing on your quilts. I have an excellent book on it, and I have been using those techniques for a while. They always seem to turn out great!
Donna I am angle challenged also. I think it’s a left hand thing. Don’t let those right hand girls pick on you!,,,love love triple play! Thank you girls!!! Edie from St. Helens Oregon.
Sorry but Natalie wins this one. She has amazing creativity and I love how she demonstrates. I'd love for her to do her own segments in fact!! I love you Jenny but Natalie needs her own tutorials
One of my favorite videos yet. They're all helpful, but these sashing options really offer some ways to spice up quilts. Thank you, Ladies, for always being so cheerful, encouraging, and insightful.
You are all amazing quilters, I love how you encourage each other and love one another. Makes me want to drive to MO and meet you all. Beautiful quilts and thank you for your ideas.
I really love Natalie's looks very clean. I think that's the one I'll make (times 2) for my daughter and son-n-law. But will change size to throw size. Thanks for a great and easy idea.
This was so inspiring! I never had any idea you could get so many borders from half square! Thanks for sharing! It’s so great to see three different ways to use the ! Thanks 😊
Awesome ladies 😍. Triple play is my favorite video and the ideas just seem to pop out of your heads like popcorn. Very creative and love to see each of your approaches to the challenges. ❤️❤️❤️
Yup, I have that beautiful layer cake that I will not cut up. I'm either going with this one from Natalie (which by the way always does an awesome quilt) or Jenny's old version of Friendship Star Sashing Quilt OR Jenny's Big Wonky Stars. These are keepers. Thanks.
So inspired! I have a layer cake that I have not wanted to cut up and these projects will be perfect!!! Thank you for your constant inspiration. I appreciate all your hard work and beautiful projects!
I love it Jenny I love the big block been wanting to make one with big squares like this thank you You’re right I think just one panel between each role would be nice
I loved this Triple Play! Couldn't decide which one I liked best! And Natalie, you hair looks so cute today, with the curls! Love all three of you girls. Keep on doing what you're doing!
It’s like you knew what I was thinking about. I was working on a quilt top using the racing strips idea and was thinking of making some design for the smashing. I love using half square triangles and Your thought process on each design was wonderful. It’s so inspirational to see all of you create such awesome quilts! Thank you!
Thank you! Wonderful job, ladies! I love this pattern for when you have big prints or a line of fabric you just hate to cut up. Great for whipping up some easy, but beautiful, quilts for gifts. I just love Triple Plays! 🥰
I ♥️ Triple Play Friday’s .Such a fun day with this quilt . Loving the fun you have with one another . You ladies are awesome !!! Love all of you !! ♥️♥️♥️

I love watching the three of you working and bantering together. You help and encourage each other.

I love the sampler sashing quilt
Oh, Jenny! I thought you had that trim on your sleeves because you are the ranking (i.e. Captain) officer of your crew. Loved all of your sashing, ladies! All of your hard work is much appreciated. I had a yucky day and you three made it all better!
She is the queen bee
You gals are firing on all eight “pistons” on these fabulous tutorials. Such creative ideas used on your beauties. Thank you!
Hi
Love, love, LOVE the idea of all the different sashings being the stars and keeping the squares big and simple! Great ideas, ladies!!

This is an area long overlooked. Borders and sashing can really enhance a quilt and make a plain quilt special.
You all work so hard for us and share like best friends would. I can’t tell you how much all of you are appreciated! Thank you so much! Blessing to you all!

My favorite time when triple play is on. Today I do not have a favorite as all left me speechless. Thank you ladies.
I nearly NEVER comment but, this one is a total WOW winner!!

Me too.

Look up Jane Warnick, she came up with a system for HST that produces hundreds of combinations.
I have some 10 in squares that i wasnt sure what to do with them now i know thank you for all your videos!!
I love the Mother daughter banter!
Great ideas and I LOVE Natalie's sashing!
