It’s all about knowing your budget. If you have a budget where the Peloton doesn’t seem expensive, it’s a great bike. Personally I could never imagine that cost, and the Schwinn is a fantastic alternative providing the same level of workout
Great video. I just ordered the Schwinn yesterday and have been second guessing myself, but after your video I am reassured I made the right choice! Thank you! 🙂
Molly! I just just found your RUclips channel, your a god send. I went on a huge viewing spree. Love all your videos, so informative, please don’t stop, these are not just helping me but many people that have gut issues. Keep it up, you are killing!
Thanks so much for this video! I've been researching the Peloton vs the Schwinn IC4 for a while and could not decide. Your video has been the most helpful bit of information and now I've decided to go with the Schwinn. Thanks again!
oh no!!! the delays are frustrating :( i hope it arises soon! there is something to be said about the autofollow resistance on the peloton bike+. but the schwinn is definitely a great alternative!
Peloton is for rich kids. Pay a fraction of the brand name premium and go with just about anything else. You can use the app with it anyways on your smartphone.
I totally agree 💯....I have the bowflex c6 which is the same as the schwinn ic4..i use the peloton ap and zwift on my iPad and I'm happy like a pig in mud...lol..I caught it on cyber week for 650.00 and it's smooth as butter..it gets me ready and fit for the spring/summer weather to ride on my SL7 tarmac and dogma...lol
I just purchased the bike and am waiting for its delivery. Little question: will the workouts be saved as well in apple’s fitness app and if yes, what metrics are included? Thanks in advance!
GREAT video!! I have watched a lot of videos on this bike and your video "sealed the deal" for me and I purchased it on Amazon, LOVE it so far and know I made the right choice! You have also inspired me to try that peloton app now, can't wait!
Thanks for the great info! Question - you mentioned that you had to use the conversion chart for the levels, but I thought that both the IC4 and the Peloton use a 1-100 system. I understand the use of a conversion chart if your bike only uses say, 1-30 and the program you are using uses 1-100. So is the reason for the conversion chart that the actual perceived resistance is that far off on the same 100 scale between the two bikes? 5 to 25 seems dramatically different if both are using 1-100 levels. So scared to go non peloton and hope everything can work, as I wanted the peloton plus to have the auto follow and all that fancy stuff, but I am concerned about getting bored with just peloton and maybe wanting to use other apps, as well as for that much money I am thinking this just makes sense. Thanks in advance for your input!
Will this work with the Beachbody cycling called bodi? They actually have their own bike called myx II (2) but I don't like that it doesn't give the resistance on it.
Thanks for your video. Question: After 11 months of using it, do you still recommend it? I live in a apartment complex and was worry that the bike could be a bit noisy after some time. What is your perception about noise after many months of use. Thanks
Great video. Can you give an idea on how many turns it takes on the dial to get to those resistance levels? I have an IC3 which doesn’t show the resistance levels so I’m kinda guessing with the turns of the dial.
Cool vid. I have this bike, don't know if I like it or not cause I haven't used it yet. I planned on getting Peloton app for it, but I keep putting it off and just ride an old airdyne. The conversion chart thing looks helpful.
Finally got a Peloton app account and tried it out (copied your chart, haha). Works great on Amazon FireTV. Bike is more enjoyable and quieter than pumping away on the airdyne, but still a good workout. Bike seems very solid. Good call on using a board for the base. Those special mats are like 30-50 bucks, found a board like that for 10 at Menards.
Thanks for sharing your insight into this bike. I did purchase the bike but I'm having difficulty getting the cadence to show when I'm using the peloton app any advice?
I have two thoughts. First WD40 is NOT a lubricant, although many folks think it is. Second, I wouldn't be exercising in a room with raw, exposed fiberglass insulation, period, no way. I am surprised the local building codes even allow it, or perhaps they don't. For someone advertising health, fitness, wellness, etc. this is a big problem.
@@rbjork45 “Myth: WD-40 Multi-Use Product is not really a lubricant. Fact: While the “W-D” in WD-40 stands for Water Displacement, WD-40 Multi-Use Product is a unique, special blend of lubricants. Would I ever use it on something like a bike chain, for instance? Hell no.
how tall are you on the bike? (head to floor), i have an unfinished basement as well that is not full height. I wonder how much height I need to be able to use the bike.
From searching around the web and watching different reviews I get the impression that there are inconsistencies in how high are low the magnets are mounted on the schwinn. Some people say there level zero is not a true zero and other's say they dont have that problem. So if that's the case it's highly plausible that there are differences in the resistance levels from one IC4 to another.

aww so glad!! ❤️❤️❤️
Great video. Straight forward explanation. Thanks for the conversion chart explanation! Just got the monthly Peloton app. Enjoying the IC4 even more.
I have the IC4 and dont use any conversion - they call out 40, i turn to 40 on the bike. With that chart you showed, the rides will be so easy 😳
👍

Great review- my peleton that I ordered may never get here so I am going to consider the Schwann If any more delays !!!

yes i love it
I just got my ic4 and love it. Got it on sale on Amazon. It's a great alternative
This was such a helpful video. Thank you!
Is it heavy? How easy would it be to move it out of the way? I’d want to move mine into another room maybe once a week for guests.
Thank you for the conversion chart!

it’s pretty sensitive!! to get to 60 from 0 on the Ic4 i’d say like 5 or 6 half turns
Thank you for mentioning the apple watch integration! Super helpful all around :)
thank you! ❤️ 🤍 so glad!
Great video! I was thinking about getting a Schwinn IC4 as well. Just found one on Walmart for $799.
sweet!!!
Thank you this was very thorough and a great review.
thanks love!

I’ve been having issues with the heart rate showing up on peloton app but I think that the cadence is connected in settings on the peloton app
This was a really helpful review. Thanks!
you’re so welcome!
Thank you so much, this really helped me make my decision!!
so glad ❤️❤️❤️
So what did you get???
Just purchased the schwinn from best buy.
nice!!

WD40 is technically a lubricant. It is not a grease.
@@jarrodhall3686 WD40 is water deterrent. That's what the WD stands for.
I second this post! Those fiberglass particles are always in the air and breathing them in is bad for your lungs, especially while you are exercising.

Do the tiems fit true to size and do you notice a better feel If you do a spin bootcamp class with the app?
i think so! and I LOVE SPIN BOOTCAMP i did one today!

hmm if you go into 3rd position it may not work
We just bought the iC4 at Academy for $599, so 644 total with tax.
The price probably has gone down! Where is Academy?
@@MollyPelletierRD it’s a large sporting goods chain, we have several of them here in Jacksonville Florida
Are you syncing an Apple Watch to the Pelton app? If yes, how’s you do it?
yes, if you go to settings on the peloton app on your iphone , there should be an option to sync apple watch!
Thank you for the speedy response. I ended up having to delete and redownloaded the Peloton app. It is now syncing!
Thanks for the review!
Thanks for great info 👍🏼
That Peloton Schwinn conversion is hella inaccurate IMO. I have a Schwinn IC4 and the resistance is hella difficult.
oh really? i ride both frequently and i feel like the resistance conversion chart is very accurate

Where do you go when something breaks on the bike?
it has a 10 yr warranty so i think they will replace or come fix, i would hope!
I just bought this bike. My name is Molly too ❤️🖤
i hope you love it!!!
I do but the seat is a little difficult to get used to. It hurts my butt. I bought a seat pad.
How about the resistance?
it’s very similar to the peloton! i talk alll about it in the video
That little chart you have doesn't work. The Schwinn resistance is identical to the Peloton bike.
Thank you 🙏🏻
