    The greatest straight ahead jazz guitarist of all time. To do what he does without a pick, is incredible.

      I agree he's my favorite jazz musician right up there with Sonny Rollins John Coltrane and Louis Armstrong and West Montgomery is my favorite of all of them all

    Great energy, and still has not lost its appeal decades later. Wes is one of the true greats, and makes it look and sound effortless on other videos of him playing.

    the tempo is around 200 bpm for the heads and the bass solo. the rest fluctuates around 205 to 210 bpm during the solos. just something I recently noticed that I hadn't noticed before after listening to this for the last 30 years.
