Damaging Ice Storm in Norman, OK (October 2020)

The power flickered all night before finally staying out after 7am Tuesday 10/27/2020. The ice continued to accumulate up to a quarter inch on branches, which was particularly destructive for trees with leaves still on them. Ice storms this early in the season are extremely rare. Power remained out for about 10 hours at my apartment, but much longer in nearby areas.
Some spots to the NW of town reported 1.5 inches of ice accumulation on elevated surfaces! This was only 0.25, so I can't imagine the damage...
