    You're 1,000,000,000 times better than my calculus teacher. Thank you. Please post more AP Calculus videos. Maybe you can solve AP questions. You're a god given gift to teach. Regards

      My calc teacher just posts links to these videos and that is 100% of all he does for his job. Granted more than 50% of the class have dropped out due to not being able to get a hold of our actual teacher to help answer questions and the other half have grades around 60% but hey I think the videos are pretty good and I'm passing the class.

    Watched tons of videos and this one helped explain the why behind the values you get for solving the best. Thank you so much.

    i am a calculus student and i get this but i just do not know how can i observe that i only need to do what you did cuz when i try to do it myself i end up trying hard stuff and never have the solution but when i see you doing it i find it easy so it's easy but unpredictable , am i supposed to notice and observe what stuff is going on or it is ok to just learn every possible trick these questions can have

    What if the parabola wasn't symmetrical about the y-axis?

    hey man, if for example the question was the same but the equation was 21-x^2, would the answer be 14square root 14?

    For some reason this didn't make sense for me... I guess I need more explanation on how you got the values for each side. I just looks like you pulled those values out of no where...

    Would you do anything different if the problem just asked for the value of x that maximizes the area

    so you can use the snd derivative to find the max or min instead of testing the intervals ?

    • @Mathispower4u
      @Mathispower4u  10 лет назад

      Yes, you can! However, your instructor may want you to use either the first derivative test by testing intervals for incr/decr or the second derivative test by testing the concavity at the critical numbers.

    • @iluvbigbootie
      @iluvbigbootie 10 лет назад

      Mathispower4u why are u using the critical number from the first derivative instead of using the critical number from the snd derivative? can you do that? i have seen other video they only use critical numbers from snd derivative to test for concavity.
