No way!!! I just got that video camera from sears about a month ago. I really like the fact that it's touch screen and it has a hard drive. I can't wait to hear what you have to say about this camcorder, I doubt you'll regret it, I mean come on..... it's Sony!! :)

Jon, I have basically the same camera, and have no idea how to use it in all it's glory. I have tried night vision and was a little disappointed to discover that it needs light to work. I found that strange, but it still looks cool. How handy would a tripod be? I should probably get one... Enjoy your new camera! Looking forward to some inspiring review vids!
At least you got the videos, wth is a MPEG-2 streamfile crap. I have no idea how to get my videos right. Why are there 4 different shortcuts for 4 programs I don't want to use, argh!
Nice Jon ..but the Canon Vixia HF10 /100 hands down is the best. You can never go wrong with Canon. I did a comparison between all the top HD camcorders and the Canon always wins. I'm sure you will enjoy this though..Congrats!
Help I bought a new camera it's 1080p it is on setting for 1080p but on the camera has fuzzy bits on screen is it just cuz it's bad cam but like it's fuzzy I can't explain but um it's just like dots and fuzzy makes it look bad quiltys tho it's 1080 p it's not the screen cuz even on pc it's fuzzy idk why it's looking like that
I did some research on this camera before the holidays and was really impressed by some of the attributes of this camera. Enjoy it man!

The SR12 is one step up, and the increased space on the HD is worht it IMO. Love these Sony cameras.

that remote in the box.... does it control the camara? e.g tyou put it on a platform and you hit stop the camara stops recording
You can't compare HDR-SR11 with the HDR-XR200v, you have to compare with the HDR-XR500V, because it's the newer version of HDR-SR11
i have the same camera but its not HD. and the quality is great for standard def. Nice video.

Almost bought it, went for Canon HV20. Both great cameras, although I prefer HDV.

No. It has a sony memerystick duo port, which in my opinion are uselass because they are more expensive than sd cards but have less memory
cause that knife is the starting knife of his videos, it the best thing ever.
