I haven’t been to the Texas Renaissance Festival yet t have been to 44 different faires. One thing the OP reiterated several times is that the shows are free and included in the price of the ticket. She is correct, but I was surprised that she didn’t mention that it is customary to tip the performers after the show. The performers - many for whom this is their sole income - receive a small salary (if any) and they depend on the tips to make up the difference from the salary received. It is not required to tip, but even a dollar from each person is much appreciated.
Adam Winrich (the whip guy) is my absolute favorite Ren Faire performer! I will be seeing him in February at the Arizona Renaissance Festival! You should come to AZ!
Camping out at TRF over the entire Thanksgiving holiday weekend is amazing. The Faire itself rocks. But the after-parties in the campgrounds are legendary. R.I.P. Sholo (still effin' hurts to lose my brother.) Peace and love to you Mercy.
I view renaissance fairs as an escape. I enjoy your enthusiasm. I show up to observe and enjoy people like you who embrace the period. Keep doing what you do.
thank you for giving me a glimpse of this magical world. please continue so I can live vicarously through you. excuse my spelling it is early in the morning.
Thank you for some of the greatest shots of the arena activities. The information for the food and clothing shops was also very informative. Great job.
This is truly the largest renaissance faire in the world. I, & my lady had to go 3 years in a row just to cover everything there. We have some jewelry, garb, mugs; Along with a few other items we purchased there as part of so many outfits we own from going to different faires, But TRF is truly unforgettable.
This is absolutely brilliant. I wish we had this sort of thing in the UK. The closest thing I can think of is Medieval reenactment, which is a bigger thing in the UK, using historical buildings and castles etc. but it’s a lot more serious and strict, as the costumes must be historically accurate in design and quality, and you must dress appropriately to the time period. I wish we had this type of thing though, where it’s much more fun and laid back, with people able to express themselves more through their costume instead of having restrictions on it. The entertainment looks brilliant too. You definitely know how to have fun in the US, and when you do anything you go all out for it. I wish we in the UK made more use of our historical sites, but because they are protected buildings they have a lot of restrictions and as I said the only events are really just medieval re-enactments. I really enjoyed your videos about this!
Sadly, 2023 was Saxton moons last year. They are now retired 🎉 happy for them, sad for us! Tartanic is great tho, we have to at least see one show. However, our favorite band is Pride O' Bedlam!! We even go see them in the off seasons! Its all pirate music at the sea devil, but the pirate life is for me!
Unfortunately, this was Saxon Moon’s last year performing at TRF :( Beautiful and thorough video! I was there that weekend! Hope to run into you next season! Tips: Celtic Christmas weekend is so fun and they decorate really well! Also, try the Crawfish Fries near the jousting arena next time!
The Lady Lanchen! One if the best tours of this enormous festival! Instead of showing herself just having fun (as many other videos) do) she gives a comprehensive tour of the festival and it's amenities... and she is completely fun, too!
One ren faire I went to 20 years ago had a joust between 2 knights, one was named Lady Catherine. The lance missed her shield and got her right in the shoulder dislocating it. She had to be removed from the field in a stretcher. I'll never forget it. You never know what you're going to see!
I’ve wanted to go to a Ren faire for a while, and I’m hoping I’ll get to in the future!! Also, at 7:37 it’s playing the song “Zombie” by The Cranberries! Its my mom’s favorite band
Next year if you want to try something new go to La Fiesta for the Banana or Beef Empanada’s. I have gotten them there since I was a kid and my mother has gotten them there since she was a kid.
haha no. I didn't feature the shows, food, activities and other shops in my other videos because I wanted to focus on the camping experience and shopping. But yes all at the same place and some of the same shots 😂
that is not nearly the largest in the world or the nation… lol not by size, guests, run time…anything at all… lol 70 acres isn’t much !! that’s a rather medium fair
Wow! A Renaissance fair with medieval knights, Renaissance characters, fantasy/magical characters (fairies etc.), Steam Punk characters, Steam Punk machines, and for all I know, foam rubber moose antlers. What's next, Civil War re-enactors? World War II re-enactors? No - I got it now. Anime characters, furries, super heroes, and silly string ! That's what is needed. So much for a RENAISSANCE fair. This is just an excuse for people to dress up in a costume - any costume.
Rev is no longer involved in revs armor works because he assaulted Troy Edit: Correction, he has now gotten the shop in the divorce. I'd highly recommend people do not give him business, he beat his wife horribly.

kid: " daddy those are nerds"
dad: " those are nerds"
I don't know HOW i missed that on the first time round. that's HILARIOUS
I KNOW! 😂😂😂😂
LOL😭😭
HAHAHA!!! I was going to type the same thing. That was hilarious!
haha I noticed 2

Everything is bigger in Texas even the Renaissance fair

I'm so glad you experienced this faire I've been going for almost two decades and I never get tired of going. Hope one day I see you there!

"This man has to be protected at all cost." LOL 😆 I very much appreciate this post.

This is the best ren fair I’ve been to! Can’t wait to go back this year

And the Camping is great too, over 7500 or more by now campers every weekend.
We go yearly. Enjoy ❤

This vids always get me pumped and looking forward to the upcoming season. Thank you!
I'm impressed by the amount of food you both are able to consume!!! 👍
I love my Texas Red fair I’ve gone every year since it’s open, but three
Thank you, very well done. I plan on going there this season, so this video will come in very handy. I will watch it again.

going with a really great crew this year for Hallow's Eve!
My go to food at the Renaissance Faire is a tie between Artichokes and the Turkey Leg
Next year if you want to try something new go to La Fiesta for the Banana or Beef Empanada’s. I have gotten them there since I was a kid and my mother has gotten them there since she was a kid.
Some day Lanchen ,I will email you and we can go to the Texas Ren Faire together, I swear!! Such a nice and very informing video.
Looks like a great time!
Love Rondini
I don’t know if someone else asked or not but where did you get your ears? Do you happen to have the link or storefront?

According to Google, there’s Renaissance Fairs in Europe, too!
Fantasy Forest UK, castle fest Netherlands, Elfia also Netherlands
All really good but nothing like how the Americans do them, they really go all out
THATS ME!??? 4:03

How ya doing, miiilady.
that is not nearly the largest in the world or the nation… lol not by size, guests, run time…anything at all… lol 70 acres isn’t much !! that’s a rather medium fair
Plus over 200 acres of camping
You know not of what you speak.

It’s a theme park faire, NOT a reenactment event
@@pd9935 My point still stands. The THEME is the RENAISSANCE. Look either all caps word up if you don't understand them.

I get the feeling this has become a cult...Renaissance afficianados galore...a half million? Sounds like a cult/tribe/trend.
Arizona draws a quarter million a year.
