Awesome I love the movie Christine, I am going to need to track one of these down. Didn't even know they even existed. Awesome movie and great little addition to the collection.
Buddy didn't notice that arnie was no where be seen except for Christine chasing him to the station his car and his guys at the station were toast in great balls of fire.
Nice. Now I have to get all the Christines. Didn’t much care for them before. But, now that you’ve show cased them. They’re a must for my collection.Great video
Bought these a while ago, sat unopened ever since, love Christine, but wont open them, so I made and painted my own Christine from a hot wheels Captain America fury. Don't look that bad. You need to take the volume down in the background music, can barely hear you in parts, but yet again, another awesome vid.
I've always heard the book was a gpod read. I remember my one buddy said Dennis drove a Duster in the book, instead of the Charger like the movie. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@Pedal2Metal_on_RUclips if you ever get a chance I'd love for you to check out a couple of my videos. Mostly car and diecast related how tos. I'd love your feedback! You've been a big inspiration to me and I've always enjoyed your detailing and painting videos so much.
I didn't know that Hot Wheels made a Christine in their Hollywood movie series. How much did the Christine cost? Most of the movie cars in this series were a marketing cash grab on Hot Wheels part, and a bit lacking. Like you said, Buddy's Camaro didn't have side pipes and didn't have the hidden headlight grille. It had circle headlights with smaller circle lights flanking them. The Herbie the Love Bug from this series was also incorrect because it had a oval rear window. Herbie was a 1963 Sunroof bug, which had the rectangular rear window. Hot wheels modified this casting before when they made it a convertible, so they should have modified the rear window too. The Miami Vice Testarossa is a F512M which didn't exist when the show was on the air. This is even dumber because Hot Wheels had a regular '80's Testarossa in their line already which was a completely different casting and the correct Ferrari Testarossa for the show. The BJ and the Bear Kenworth Aerodyne is the correct semi for the show, but since it used the 'Thunder Roller' casting, which depicts an Aerodyne with a super long custom sleeper, it's also incorrect. The BJ and the Bear Kenworth was just a standard bone stock Aerodyne painted red and white. I don't even think they had custom super long house-like sleepers available for the Aerodyne when the show was out or when Hot Wheels originally released the casting in the early '80's. I don't think they made custom sleepers like that until the mid '90's or the turn of the century. Nevertheless I loved the show as a kid and I'll probably get it and some of the other cars in this series like both Christine cars. The Autoworld casting is more realistic looking and far superior to the Hot wheels version. In your opinion which film was the better killer car movie, 'Christine' or 'The Car'? Who would win if they faced off like 'Freddy vs. Jason'? I guess you didn't want to risk getting a copyright strike for playing the original score in this video, which was an integral part of the film. Great video nonetheless.
Check out the movie wheels of terror! Mid 70s charger terrorizes a small town killing kids... Never really says if there is a driver or not. It's a bit of a b rate flick but pretty cool none the less. Ever seen the movie The Wraith?
@@ae86hachi of course, it's one of my favorites too, I got the special edition Wraith dvd when it came out a few years ago. I heard about the film with the killer Charger but I haven't seen it yet. I think theres a unrestored version of the film available on RUclips that looks like they recorded it off of TV. There was also two other straight to dvd killer car movies who's titles escape me at the moment. One movie was about an alien creature from outer space that disguised itself in the form of an automobile plus it kept avoiding detection by constantly changing the make and model of the vehicle it was. The other film was about a killer red '95/'96 Monte Carlo Nascar. I think that film was called Phantom Racer if I remember it correctly. Both films were decent, I liked Phantom Racer better and it was gory. As far as Christine vs. The Car. Although I love both films and both are very different. I like The Car better. The Car is a more serious, intense, and more unsettling movie than Christine. The scene in The Car that I found unsettling was the way it killed Karen in the middle of the house by jumping and driving completely through it. It was totally unexpected, and you thought she'd be safe once she was inside the house. Then the movie intensified the unsettling feeling by lingering on the scene directly after the killing and extremely slowly fading out. The Car killed more people and didn't take any damage doing so. Plus it didn't dent when it smashed into the mountain. Christine was a little more light hearted and somewhat campy. I also love 'Duel.' They tried to do a similar film called 'Wrecker,' which was pure garbage.
I paid $29 (included shipping) for Christine and $10 for the camaro. I agree with you, the majority of their entertainment lineups were totally cash grabs and most, if not all were inaccurate. I do like the bj and bear truck though, and the magnum p.i. 308. Also the Simon and Simon dodge is very cool. Bur i hate the rockfird files Pontiac as well as others... Thet ruined a perfect opportunity if u ask me. Thanks for watching amd commenting!
@@Pedal2Metal_on_RUclips Your welcome. I Think they used the HotBird casting for the Rockford files car which had a rear spoiler. The firebird from the series was a base model that had no spoiler.
Nice review on these hot wheels Christine cars Pedal2Metal it's cool set i must say there going to be a lot harder to find then in the future as prices go up of them in pristine condition and yeah i think why did hot wheels not do 68 charger that alone would have made cool set.
Christine: about time you took me out of the box, do you realize how much hell it is in there? Lol sorry late to say but christine probably would hate being boxed in
Hey bro I found that 58 Plymouth in red Chrome on eBay bid on it and lost it it's sold for $60 and then I saw one the exact same car carded for 17 free shipping so I got it🤔😨
I think hotwheels nailed it on the color otherwise autoworld killed it stylistically.
I agree; the color does look more correct to these eyes! 👀

Absolutely chilling! The cars are fantastic and the movie is an absolute classic. Keep up the good work as always!
