If dead meat helps non-horror fans, find out the horror genre and they actually like it, then they're still horror fans.
@John Smith so? The point is that dead meat introduced a whole new generation to a movie that they never heard of. I watched John Carpenter 's Christine once on Netflix and I liked it. The fact that people discovered Christine should fill you with joy because now Christine will live on. She'll never be forgotten about and John Carpenter and Stephen King will live on. Unfortunately, they fired him in 1961 because the cars were ugly and sold poorly. Someone in corporate heard that GM was going to pivot to small cars in 61, so he made Chrysler do the same pivot. They heard wrong, and released a lineup of small cars into a market that still wanted ocean-going cruisers. Exner was tasked with putting 1950s big-car styling language onto compacts, and that didn't work at all. So they blamed the design guy for making ugly cars, not the product planning guy for making compacts. Pretty tragic, when you think about it.

I'm late for university and i should be on my way, but saw a new Carpenter upload and here i am. This rocks!
This movie should’ve had a sequel a long time ago. Get on it.
So awesome John Carpenter and Christine in 2017!
My day has been made, love it!!!
The Man, The Legend, John Carpenter!
I love Christine's motor sound
John Carpenter is morphing into Lee van Cleef as he gets older.
With a 58 Fury instead of a 58 Remington.
@@RCAvhstape Hahaha good one!
He's a master, a lot can be learnt from his work.
3:30 WOW
Nice to finally see the spirit of lebay driving Christine just like the book. Two thumbs up.
One Year at Barret-Jackson they had the Hero car from the movie, I can not put into words how gorgeous it was
The man the legend that is John carpenter gave me goosebumps brining back this icon monster and he still got it bigtime
So happy to see John directing again! Nice homage to the film and a great teaser for the new CD! Looking forward to seeing JC on tour this fall ...
As a die hard Christine/Carpenter fan since I was 5 (now 29), please make a part 2 to Christine, and show all of the horror directors of the last 20 years how a real horror film is suppose to be made. Us horror fans miss you Mr. Carpenter!
0:20 AND TITLE CARD
Yay another dead meat fan!
You guys are mans of culture
XD
When she gets in Christine, looks at John.. and Christine shuts the door.. perfect.
John is my favorite director of all time. Many of his movies are some of my favorites of all time…
Happy 75th Birthday John Carpenter!
CHRISTINE PART 2 COME ON JOHN I BEEN WAITING SINVE 1983 FOR THE RETURN OF CHRISTINE
Sabe mim dizer onde acho o 2 amigo?
IM BACK!! Seeing her cruise modern streets with modern car's around, this is just a nostalgic trip of a futuristic dream I thought wasn't possible, thank you John, so much.
This is the true master of synth wave
Nice "Thing" reference.
Bill Scurry i don't get it, where's the reference :(
That model of VW was called a "Thing" back in the day.
Good catch.... I didn't get that!
Also, Adrienne Barbeau drove one in The Fog.
Excellent recall!
We need "Christine 2"!
I'm 52. I saw Christine in the summer of '83 and about 300 times after that. A true fan here in love with Christine! still has my soul. What a classic short flick!
Christine didn't kill indiscriminately. The beautiful girl killed with purpose.
One of my favourite cars and films 🍿
This is a classic!
Awesome Christine music video.
Kind of heartwarming to think that Christine is still out there all these years later, merrily running over hapless teenagers
I was expecting clips from the film - love that this was something new.
So badass.
Big John is the Man not only in movies but in music. This man is a genius so underrated in his own country. My little tribute to this great filmaker/composer if you have 3 minutes to spare : ruclips.net/video/B1Br69iC8gw/видео.html
Happy 40th Christine ❤️ !! I’ll always love you ❤❤
The irony is that now, John Carpenter looks like he'd be perfect casting for Roland Lebay, Christine's first owner, when you compare him to Robert Blossoms who played George Lebay in the film.
A perfect prequel casting ideas!
that car still haunts my dreams even today and I love it. she never looked better. we need a reboot or a sequel.
Also this may be short, but holy FUCK thank you for some sort of continuation!! I picture Christine sitting in that yard for years and years under a pile, slowly uncurling from the cube she was crushed into, and Arnie found her again.
Masterwork

So great to see Christine back up on the screen! I just wish he'd do a full length movie! John Carpenter could do so much with the technology we have these days. Keep the filming style and the music the same.
Oh and 28 people are shitters!
I agree, but I’d also like to retire from movies if I’ve Been making them for the past 30 years, also fun fact John wrote the story line of a solo joker comic
I wonder if this is a hint that Christine will be either remade, or a sequel that continues from the first one.
Just watched this earlier this morning I'd be so down for a Sequel or Remake. The sequel could be set years later, Leigh and Dennis are shocked to see Christine reenter their lives through their child or something like that.
I hope they don't do a reboot or remake!! It would kill the original unless Carpenter is behind the camera!! Today's society don't know what originally is like!! But this was awesome!! I'd love to see a sequel thou being she did move a little at the end of the movie!!
If a new Christine is ever made, I would like it to about the car's original owner and set back in the late 50's. That guy's story has a lot of potential.
Wrote a story about just that when I was in middle school!
I honestly just think it was made to promote his CD Anthology.
Gave me chills. John Carpenter surely is a great composer and director.
and makes for a good "LeBay" too.
RIP, Harry Dean Stanton.
Was he in this video?
Yeah...he was the cop!
The movie! not the video
Christine is and always will be my favorite movie. The beauty and death of the Plymouth Fury/Belvedere, Americanna car culture at it's finest
This movie doesn’t need a remake nor a reboot. Leave this movie alone
I love this spin on the tune. Like she's just cruisin the shadows.....the "incident" with Arnie, Dennis and Leah long blown over.......just waiting for a new owner.........
Love it almost 40yrs on and still an awesome movie and this video almost mimics the book, the ghosts riding around in Christine!!
The Plymouth Fury should never die!! Restore these amazing cars damn it!!
Christine is still out there, and will for the end of time still be there.
The music and video are a perfect complement
Awesome, Epic, Authentic. John Carpenter is a True Artist Complete.
Carpenter is awesome!!😀😀😀
Christine♥️
that´s not only a car, its a piece of art in design. same her color becomes sometimes black in cause of her position. and her lights become violett blue ,back then there was no xenon so i thinkit stays for heat and angriness. like in the original movie back then. ill know this is art, and also fiction, thank you mr carpenter!
