      And she appeared in Salem's Lot a few weeks ago. She's looking for more people to manipulate and using them to kill. I even sat in Christine once and she wasn't afraid of me nor was I ever afraid of her. Almost as if she knew me before. Maybe I'm Arnie Cunningham reincarnated.

    I came from Dead Meat's Christine video! So glad that John Carpenter and Christine are still around, being cool and picking up hitchhikers. Hopefully Christine is nice to hitchhikers!

      @kabal28 4 года назад +6

      Same lol

    • @Sarahonwheels
      @Sarahonwheels 4 года назад +12

      @John Smith yes I watched John Carpenter 's Christine on Netflix when it was available before dead meat made the video. I have never seen the music video before in my life.
      And anyway, if dead meat helps you find out videos that you never seen before, it's ok, because you now have new fans of the material that love it. I wouldn't have found the music video if it wasn't for them. Don't be that person. If dead meat helps non-horror fans, find out the horror genre and they actually like it, then they're still horror fans.

    • @Sarahonwheels
      @Sarahonwheels 4 года назад +9

      @John Smith so? The point is that dead meat introduced a whole new generation to a movie that they never heard of. I watched John Carpenter 's Christine once on Netflix and I liked it. You want people who have never heard of it to not experience it because someone watched a review of it on RUclips. Isn't that the point of reviewing of a film? You want people to watch Christine right? Then why are you gatekeeping? It's great that people are discovering films from reviewing and recommending! I didn't figure out my love for Stephen king if I didn't watch Kubrick's version first of the shining, or Muschetti's It. Same with Coraline. It doesn't matter how they found out about it, what matters is that they love it, which means it won't be forgotten about in the future.

    • @Sarahonwheels
      @Sarahonwheels 4 года назад +5

      @John Smith what constitutes a fan of horror to you?

    • @Sarahonwheels
      @Sarahonwheels 4 года назад +4

      @John Smith well I'm sorry that we all discovered something at the same time. It's not our fault that we got reccomended something by people that we like because it seemed that we might enjoy it! Like you, we enjoy it just as much as you do! We're not fake, we're real people who were just reccomended something! Because that's what movie reviews do. They reccomended something like a person might like and watch, so that person can see it!
      I don't understand what the big deal is, as a horror fan, you should be happy that people are discovering horror films and stories. With any Fandom/ fanbase, there's going to be a surge of interest in what you're a fan of especially if it becomes popular for any reason That's something that you're gonna have to understand and accept. The fact that people discovered Christine should fill you with joy because now Christine will live on. She'll never be forgotten about and John Carpenter and Stephen King will live on.
      If you don't want new fans to discover anything, then you lose the value of the work. Movies, music and art should be shared with everyone! They were never meant to be hidden away from the world, only accessed by "true fans" If you are a fan of anything, you should be welcoming of everyone that is becoming a new fan. That's what great fandoms should be.

      Virgil Exner designed the styling. Imo, he's one of the all-time Greats of car design. Chrysler products from 1957 to 1960 were STUNNING.
      Unfortunately, they fired him in 1961 because the cars were ugly and sold poorly. Someone in corporate heard that GM was going to pivot to small cars in 61, so he made Chrysler do the same pivot. They heard wrong, and released a lineup of small cars into a market that still wanted ocean-going cruisers. Exner was tasked with putting 1950s big-car styling language onto compacts, and that didn't work at all. So they blamed the design guy for making ugly cars, not the product planning guy for making compacts. Pretty tragic, when you think about it.

    John Carpenter was and still is 'The Horror Master' of his movie period! The best movies are Halloween, Assault on Precinct 13, Escape from New York, The Thing and They Live in my point of view! I met him on a horror film convention (weekend of hell) in 2016 in Oberhausen (Germany)! I took a photo with him and he signed it! The photo was framed and got a special place on a wall in my place ;-)!

      The multitude of advancements in special effects would seem to make a 'part 2' plausible. Add to that the fact that there's a company stamping out entire car bodies for 65 - 68 Mustangs. The same could be done with '58 Plymouth bodies.

    • @RodknockRhett
      @RodknockRhett 6 лет назад +2

      Natalie Clarke It would be but think of how rare 58 Fury are now. We don't need more destroyed. They destroyed quite a few of them in the original.

      I agree I would love to see a Christine sequel however, I've own a 58 Plymouth and they are rare and too beautiful to wreck just for a movie. They made a quasi-sequel to The Car but it was a Chrysler 300. Maybe Christine could be the same! I actually have an awesome idea.
