- In this video, I take you through the creation of my 1-bit pixel art shooter in Godot. You'll see how I designed assets, implemented game mechanics, and tackled challenges like backgrounds, particle effects, and sound. Whether you're a game developer or just curious about the process, this video gives an interesting look at building a game from start to finish.

dude this is amazing the edits subtitles transitions it’s all great! keep up the awesome work!
Thanks!
Im trying to learn godot as well.Your game looks super polished and its style is really nice. For someone with "zero art skills" you're really good!
Thanks, good luck!
He is joking he is pro at everthing. look at the art wrok
It's incredibly inspiring seeing you basically go from 0 Godot knowledge to being in the process of making a good polished game, I've been wanting to step into game dev myself but have no idea how to code, this video gave me more confidence in just learning how to code along the way
Glad to hear it!
Give it a try !! i also have been learning to code along the way . Im pretty efficient at art.
Congrats on making a game. It is not easy finishing projects.
Thanks!
Your star background looks stunning, the transparent cross on the moving stars is perfect
The artsyle is very well executed! And the music is great!
Scaling hitboxes is genius.
You earned yourself a subscriber :D
It is really cool to see your process of polishing and juicing up the game.
Its cool to see someone else working on a space videogame, you should continue working on it.
IK this is good so far
New to Godot, and this actually gives me a boost of confidence that I can actually make something good. Cause I am not an artist (in 2d at least)
Thank you for showing us this
Your musical chops are quite impressive my man!
Ill be following your game dev journey!
in the end i always look more at how polished the game is rather than the bugs, ur game looks really amazing and i want see more
Best project I've seen recently, 10/10 for the juicing and 10/10 on game design too
oh wow your art style is really close to a space shmup i started working on back in 2015 and mostly abandoned. it's like seeing what could have been
very very underrated!
I'm making a game like this, so its cool to see another take on a space shooter👍 You're totally underrated!
Thanks!
whooaaa this is so underrated
Dude amazing video keep going!
that's awesome man, I really like the video, just a quick tip to speed up your process, you can use screen notified instead of area to check when a node enters or leaves the viewport, you can also use path path, path follow 2d to spawn the obstacles, hope this helps, overall very polished game, thank you for sharing
Bro this is really polished game, nice work
It is a great video, and a great game!! Welcome to Godot and I hope to see more from You!
This Game Is An Incredeble Art.
one of the greatest games i ever played

Keep on with godot! :)
I feel bad for this guy because he made so much but he has only 7 hundred subs
underrated
Looks like a fun game about to try it out!
U only have 451 subs, ur editing and video quality is so good
Nice stuff 😁
nice video
ily spouth
how do you only have 291 subs ( "including me =)" ) you deserve way more
great game and vid, more godot making games videos!
omg this video is amazing
plz make both types of content!!!!, both mc and the game dev stuff
We'll see 😌
Your content is underrated man! The editing is smooth and the game is juicy! Keep up with the amazing work, you are doing great!
Thank you
What DAW are you using for your music? It's the one skill I have yet to learn on my gamedev journey and it's stressing me big time.
Fl studio, it's paid, so you can use reaper. Also I've heard of an open source alternative "Wave tracker", haven't tried it yet.
soundtrack has no business going as hard as it does tbh😂
w vid this is better then minecraft
Realmente muy bonito 😅 y un gran trabajo 🎉 soy un amante de los juegos de naves espaciales, y me encants ver alguien con el mismo gusto que tengo yo, saludos ❤❤❤
Really nice video! Which software did you use ?
Thanks, davinci resolve, fl studio, Godot, audacity and etc
very cool
Honestly this looks great!! I’ve been trying to get into game dev. I started off on scratch but I really wanna start using an engine. I’ve tried out a couple but haven’t really gotten into the groove of things. I hope you end up completing your game.
Also, what music software do you use? You showed a couple clips of you making music (which was fire by the way) and I was curious.
Thanks, I use Fl studio
This is good
Thanks for the heart I would play it but my pc would explode and I would be on the news ;(
Damn, optimized games save lives 🙏

Yo, sick vid! What did u use to design all the textures? Cuz I’m looking for an alternative to aseprite.
Thanks! I used Paint.net
Bro I’m surprised u made it free if u completed this u could make it into a commercial project
the game is very cool, a small suggestion though, could you make the movement more "snappy", it feels a little slippery and uncontrollable. I understand that considering the amount of play testing that went into this, its probably an intended feature, in that base could there be an upgrade for it
Thank you, I did try that, but it felt a bit wrong, because there's no drag in space. I'll try to work this out.
@@spouthdev maybe rather than calling it friction, you could name it stabilisation or smth like that, and then have particle effects to show a counter thrust to stabilise after you release the move key
Good idea, I'll check it out
I’ll go play the game (:
Sick vid! What editing software do you use?
Also what do u use to make songs 😅
Davinci resolve and fl studio
Awesome but, pico either go-dot or go-do
Cool Video, +1 sub :p
How did you do the "speech to text" text. It looks really cool.
With Davinci Resolve, there are quite a bit of tutorials on cool looking titles
Brother great game , loved very much . Can you teach how to make android games or how to convert games to other platforms(android )
you should turn this into a mobile game, I think it would do well!
Perhaps, it might be complicated though.
PLEASE TELL ME HOW DID U DO FOR THE SPACE SHIP TRAIL
really nice game, what is the music editor called?
Fl studio
it looks like a spe-
what music program do you use
FL studio
what do you use to make music?
Fl studio
I think made that game but the ship is a man
subscribed cuz using fl studio
Lol, why?
Ok
PLEse KEEP SUBTITLES just make them a little smaller for ppl annoyed by it.
Can people please stop adding subtitles that are only a single words long and stay on the screen for a split second? It's hideous and completely ruins a video for me. If you desperately want to animate something then have the words appear one after the other but let the full section/sentence stay on screen for a bit.
Hmm
Thank you for your input, appreciate it.
@@spouthdev
You know u don't actually have to change your whole flow because one guy didn't like it
@@spouthdevit’s fine to bandwagon subtitles, one guy didn’t like it boohoo
I guess it's just personal taste, however I'll be keeping that in mind
I dont have enough ADHD for this video. Talk slower, dont remove the subtitles after one frame.
Sorry for that, I will take that into consideration for my future videos.
Right...this is your "dream game". No wonder it only took 100 days.
