If you cannot recognise the standard Wenger variable-aperture wrench for what it is, perhaps a little more homework is required before a public review is attempted...

    Good video thanks.
It is a great mix of the Wenger and Victorinox.
The cap lifter and the philips lock into place when pressure is applied I believe. The scissors are serrated too. Scales a contoured for grip. Blade shape has extra belly.

Dude you have no idea about the tools that come with these knives even do or what they are called… “Hmmmm” DO SOME RESEARCH before reviewing a product.

The main problem with this for normal EDC is that bloody lock on the blade... It will make it illegal to carry without a justifiable reason in a lot of places/countries. I honestly also wonder, who the hell would need a locking blade on a 85mm SAK...?
As for the Vic spring VS the Wenger leaver type, i'd take Vic's any day (not to mention the tool itself). People keep whining it breakes... I use SAK's for moer than 30 years and have yet to broke one... It really depends on how you use the thing. But when it breaks, it takes 5 min to put on a new one, that cost's next to nothing,so...

They took lock off most of the EvoGrip s557, and they are getting harder to find.

    Hello WhiteGloves!
    Greetings from Guatemala!
    My favorite EDC tools are
    - scissors
    - nail file and nail cleaner
    - big flat screwdriver (aka Bottle opener)
    - small flat/phillips screwdriver (aka Can opener)
My ideal EDC knife would be a Victorinox 84 mm Cadet with a 3rd layer for scissors. Unfortunately it is even hard to find a modified one. So I settled for the Victorinox Delemont EvoGrip 14 and I love it! I do miss the pen to but I added the eyeglass screwdriver to the corkscrew and it is just GREAT! The Victorinox 91 mm that is my EDC with similar features is the Mountaineer with Plus scales.
I am know looking into having a set of pliers (or big tweezers as you correctly call them) and I like the Delemont s557 as I do not have to deal with saws! I will most certainly consider it. The mini wrench would be a bonus although it is small and strangely located in the middle of the knife.
    Many thanks!

      Hello. :)
It sounds like you are on the quest for the perfect Swiss Army knife like I am. :)
The EvoGrip 14 is definitely a solid knife. It also has the Wenger-scissors which I prefer over the Victorinox-style.

Yes I am and I have become convinced that there is not such a thing as a perfect EDC. It all depends on the environment I will be in... a field trip, a picknic, a social city event or a urban work/leisure require all of different SAKs! The ideal SAK should have my 4 preferred tools (scissors, nail file and cleaner, big and small screwdriver) and be restricted in size to 3 layers. 4 layers should be the absolute maximum for pocket carrying.
KEEP ON LOOKING! And meanwhile, let’s have a wonderful experience with SAK!

I had a Victorinox Sportsman 84 mm modified by adding a 3rd layer for scissors. It is a real beauty! But as it is a rather personalized and custom knife, I just keep it in a special box and use either the Delemont 14 or a Victorinox Mountaineer as EDC

I don't think it's a bad choice if it has the tools you want. I EDC a Victorinox Cybertool Lite and I have been very happy with it. I think it just depends on what tools you want if it's a good fit.
