I used to struggle with jealousy……I never felt THEY didn’t deserve it, I just wrecked my brain wondering why I didn’t deserve it…. I would run down my “credentials” to try and convince myself that I deserved a particular thing from God….
“ I’m this, I’m that and the other, surely I deserve it” But that’s the same thing the devil did when he was trying to overthrow the throne and we all know what happened to them.
My mom gave me a piece of advice… She said, if you feel something, openly admit it in prayer and repent. So I started saying… “ Lord I feel this way about this situation, I repent, thank you for showing me what in my heart so that I can work on it, and I’d ask him to remove it.” Just like that it would be gone.
Then the Lord will allow me to get the inside scoop on that situation and it would turn out that things aren’t so wonderful for them after all. Then I would feel extreme compassion and then end up praying that the Lord would strengthen or deliver them in that situation.
Then, I would thank the Lord in prayer, for not giving me what I asked for, and for allowing me to see the secrets of a situation ( because he doesn’t have to do it) for giving me a chance to repent of the jealousy and pride… giving me a heart of compassion for others….
The way God multitasks will never get old to me. I love that scripture that says…. “Who can know the mind of God”………… I know that was just a little nugget in his message but I hope my sharing encourages someone.
Back to the topic of his message.. The Lord gave me a dream that my sister walked up to me and gave me a baby that she was holding …. But it was a big baby, although it was a new born…The baby was so heavy, I was leaning backwards and I was restricted to the spot I was standing in….My family carried on with their business while I was trying to be helpful, waiting for her to take the baby back, but she had no intention. In fact she walked around me as if she didn’t see me.
The new born looked at me and started asking for my sister.. I no longer wanted to hold it…..but I felt guilty to put it down because it was a new born and I didn’t want to leave it unattended…… ( I say “ It” because I didn’t know if he was a he or she)
When I awakened, I realized I was carrying a burden that wasn’t mine, it was preventing me from moving forward with my life and it was being restrained by guilt. I was coddling a soothing and protecting responsibility that was not my own to tend to.

This hit hard with me dealing with my sons meth addiction that's lead him to homelessness. And I've been enabling him. And I've been pulling myself out, he needs to figure it out now. I hear the message Lord thank you for letting me know I'm making the right choice, and not feeling like I abandoned my son. He's yours bring him out of that mess Jesus !

Wow..this message is hitting me right in the gut. Just because we are family and you have a problem doesn’t make it my assignment. I had to pause right there and get myself together because I am in the season trying to determine if my mom’s problem is my assignment. I am struggling big time.
