I'm honestly surprised by the price of the obsidian flames Charizard still being so high. Especially since the identical card in Paldean fates is $4.

I searched up a bit in Bulbapedia and the last special expansion set that did not contain any Charizard was Shining Legends from 2017.
Any special expansion set afterwards has at least one in it 😳

Right, and Shining Legends sat on Walmart shelves at clearance for forever. Not saying I want charizard in every set but I see why TPCI puts him in everything. Like every new person coming in or back into the hobby wants the fire lizard. Those of us who have been here for a while are charizarded out lol

The answer is a resounding yes. Charizard is not even the best original starter. We all know Blastoise is the true OG and he doesn't get near enough love.

Dude when Zard ex became a deck, it used to cost $40 per charizard. $40x3 is insane, which is probably why we didn’t see it emerge in the meta sooner
