Yes! A great way of putting it! Kiryu did participate a bit inside. In Ichiban's perspective, that was when Kiryu stepped in to protect Watase, and Kiryu went outside shortly to deal with the reinforcements. Imagine if Sega actually bothered to change Yakuza 7's cutscene for that one or even add it in to actually show Kiryu going outside while you as Ichiban and gang continue hammering the Omi inside of the conference room.

He really is. He has been maintaining his body and fighting skills at best all the time, it might not be shown onscreen but it is implied he trains during his free time. I like how the game also implies as he gets older, some moves we can't do anymore and he gets slower attack speed now.

Yo Hydro! Hope you're well and my apologies for the late reply. You got almost all of the animations right. Han's stance came from Yakuza 6, the original stance Han used whenever Kiryu fights him. The rest of the animations are good! I'm not sure about Nanba's grappling animation if that was reused asset or not so I can't guarantee it.
Insanely late reply but Arakawa uses Hanawa’s new stance just without the baton even though he had a unique stance in Y7 And Saeko uses Kaoru’s stance from Kiwami 2
So he should toss and use breaker to generate heat while dancing than enter slugger style or his legend style to use a heat action the melts his opponents HP.
Hahahaha. Adachi sure is really strong XD even in the cutscene he is just defeating that one guy on the background when Tsuruno was talking to Kiryu to take care of the Omi outside.

Still weird that they never let Ichiban use his hero bat in many scenes. I really wish he has a fighting style dedicated to his bat tbh. I partly get it, it looks unheroic or unfair for someone to be whaling unarmed people with a bat, but it's his hero sword!

Easier workaround on fighting Saeko and Emi. Though i wish they'd made a cutscene of Kiryu saying he's going to check up on Ichi. It kind of doesn't make sense the Daidoji would let him go to Yokohama from what we see in the game
@@empanadasfordays4324 That's probably one reason why RGG studios never put the Ichiban fight after the Omi feast. An additional cutscene would be good for some context. When you put it that way, it does not make sense the Daidoji would not let Kiryu just roam around that easily but he probably persuaded them after the Omi feast as shown by the cutscenes after the last boss fight that Kiryu was shown anyway going to Ichiban. An additional support note on that is that the Daidoji faction is capable of letting Kiryu has his vacation leave as long as he keeps his identity hidden and goes by the name of Joryu or Taichi Suzuki. Kiryu going off to assist Ichiban a bit in 7 during Geomijul is the first taste of the Daidoji faction letting him has his leave at times since nothing was going with the faction. That's just my speculation or theory on it. But you have some nice points!
Nanba is there. He is kinda hard to notice but if you look at the far right of the room, you can see him behind Saeko and Zhao. Nanba is busy holding off an Omi while effortly pinning him down.
Hahahaha. Ichiban is crazy but Saeko is crazier. It is kinda weird but now that they have started it, it will be a less of a bother now soon. She is a very brave woman. Definitely a gamechanger since we got a playable female character now in the series.

If you notice Saejima and Majima are literally just using their grabs from when they were playable. Saejima's pummel animation is even the same.
