labsrule My speedo isn't connected. I'm using my tablet and OBD2 dongle to track my speed from from the PCM. My tablet also has GPS speed. It was going to be too much of a hassle to try and convert it to my stock mechanical speedo. I might go Dakota Digital later on. But for now my set up is good.
Just did that on my truck......what do you do for the Vss wire? and mine all the wire plug up and nothing work...maybe iv got a bad control module or maybe the strap in the box that hold the cable is broke? got to find out! i tested my stalk look to be not very good ,switch not working propely...
The VSS ties into your Speedo Gauge cluster. I don’t have mine hooked up since mine is analog and ran/spun by a cable. So I will need to get the converter box from Dakota Digital to make it work. You would tie in the signal that way. I believe there there a a few companies that make them. However, this is just one way of doing it to my understand. Just need to research. If you have an electronic speedo then the process is different and you need to figure out what signal your PCM and cluster is putting out and match those up. I believe it can be adjusted in the tune if needed. I’m sure you can score a used cruise box in the junkyard for cheap. Maybe try that after troubleshooting everything and if all else fails you could try to swap it out.
That's cool. Gonna be great on the highway
WHAT!?! That's great. I definitely need to figure that out. but I'm a ways out before I get there.
Hey man, how did you get your speedo connected to the electronic trans? did you use the converter box or the tail housing conversion?

ok cool, i reserched that dakota digital, seems like a good option and half the cost of the tail housing conversion.
labsrule most def! nothing immediate, but that would be what I would use or make my your own and gauge panel with some Auto Meter gauges.

@@MrGriffin23 find my way out just my VSS wire was not at the right place now everything work just fine and no need for a tune on this :o)
I want to do a cruise control delete in my 83. Is there anything special in removal, or just pull all that crap and vacuum lines
Just remember the servo and the unit under the heard.
