I have the Amp Central which is an outstanding load/capture device. I shelved the others. I'd have no reservations picking up a R7 amp given the quality of the AC along with the quality of support that I received from Italy. Great company.
Super sick amp! I'm going to go try it in person.

This amp sounds absolutely incredible, I need one of these in my life! 😩
I love the tone that beast produces.
My current rig is a KSR Orthos 100 MKII with 6550s and a KSR 4x12 with a mix of V-30s & Creambacks. It sounds vicious.
This sounds similar, I'd say it's a little thicker sounding and a little less percussive in the midrange. From what I can tell on my cell phone speaker, which blows compared to my computer speakers.
This is my dream amp! İ would keep it sir .
Hello @TONEWARStoneshow thanks for the video. This amp sounds like a beast, that CH 1 JCM800-like tone is breathtaking and the CH2 has thickness and gain for years. I'm currently looking into this amp and the Diezel Herbert. How would you compare both ? I was not able to find any comparison on your channel (perhaps i didn't look in detail). Keep rockin!
Thanks for commenting. I'm glad you liked the video. the Herbert has a bit of a softer top end and is not as aggressive as the Leviathan. the Herbert also has a clean channel where the Leviathan does not.
So if you're looking for aggressive metal tones, I think the Leviathan would be more your speed
Are all the high gain tones that come from amps really that different from each other to where you are inspired to play a particular amp depending on the day or what you’re feeling?
When I hear this amp I hear a very tight plexi 1st channel and a mix of a Mesa and Marshall for the 2nd channel. Is that accurate or how would you desribe especially the high gain channel compared to other amps?
That’s a beast of an amplifier. The guys who run the company are really cool and they take pride in their products. They also do ridiculously cool custom tolex for their amps.
I am lucky enough to know this amp well and It's One of my favourite of all time. Currently saving some Money to add It to the collection soon. Have you ever tried It with celestion g12m-65 or redbacks? I would definitely recommend the try, sounds even more monolithic
I have tried the redbacks. I'll have to give them another try. My 1st impressions of them weren't very good but I'm willing to give them another try.
@@TONEWARSgearshow the result Is defenitely less "precise" than the sound you get from the V30s but (especially with creambacks) I absolutely love the amount of grit and rage they give to the sound of the leviathan

I wonder how the new Hybrid 100 compares to this thing.
In terms of high gain tone, do you think this can do a convincing Mesa Mark (let's say a JP2C)? If not, which one of your amps can come the closest?

Pretty awesome. I just don't think I need so much heavy, and it seems like an amp that just wants to live at the heaviest. *laugh*
You've got me really hooked on the Badlander 100. I'm a bit torn because I really want a Friedman BE-100 deluxe, too. But, it seems like the Badlander is the ultimate in-between of Friedman-type mid gain and the Mesa Recto. Such a hard choice. Then, there's that damned Mark VII, too. My brain may explode before I can decide.
If I was you I would keep it. We all work hard for everything we got so hell yeah keep it. I have been cleaning my closet for last year myself. I just sold my Marty Friedman Engl last week. Really good amp but I have so many that sound the same in a mix, and I have been more focused on buying studio gear than amps right now. My Savage is sold along with my victory super Kraken. But my power ball mk2 will never leave my hands, love that amp. But the rest are mostly mid-2000s and newer amps. amps like the Schecter hellraiser, Egnater Armageddon, and Framus cobra, to amps like the Armored sabot mk2 and the revv 120 mk3. I probably won't buy any more amps but if I do that mezza you have sounds killer. A great showing of the red 7 I can see why you are keeping it.

I think it's fun to rotate amps in-and-out of my collection. It gives me a chance to try new things and see what I like.
I've certainly learned a lot over the last few years. I'm grateful for the experience and the knowledge I've gained by doing this
@TONE WARS I agree. Being able to rotate and mix amps and cabs is fun and can get you some different and unique results, not to mention the experience that comes with it. I still need to buy an amp switcher as you got, it's on my list but for now, my radial tone bone will have to do. Gear like that is hard to find in the country I live in. I shipped all my gear from the U.S. to Asia about 9 years and it was expensive then. Can't imagine what that would cost now. You are probably the first channel I go to for gear reviews. From amps, cabs, pedals, and mics. Very honest and you make clear that it's your opinion, not a fact. I have a quad cortex and I didn't understand the reaction, it was like they didn't even hear what you said, LOL. But I dig what you do and try to catch the live streams when I can.

I hope you get a chance to check out an amp switcher one of these days. It's not the most fun purchase you'll ever make but it's 1 of those purchases that you wish you had made sooner, if you know what I mean. It's so handy and amazing to have.

@TONEWARSgearshow I believe the theme I used for the build was "dragged from hell" so it has dark red croc skin with aged finishes similar to the steam punked one. I wanted something that really looked liked it was alive and literally was dragged out of the depths.
And they nailed it!

If you had to whittle them all down to just one amp what would it be?
It really depends on the day. I just did a re-amp session for my solo album today and me and my engineer were blown away at how good the JP-2C recorded. So today, the JP-2C wins the day. Tomorrow....maybe the Redseven or the Stealth

I've seen a whole slew of other Leviathan reviews before you got it and my impression wasn't good. You surprised me by actually making it sound great for metal, thrash, and other genres of metal. Do I think it's worth the high price tag compared to other amps, like Engl? Probably not....

I was worried when I ordered it but I have to tell you this amp is brutal as hell. It really does sound great. Yes, it's pricey but they are hand Built-in Italy. I totally understand that not everybody wants to part with that kind of money for an amplifier. I respect that .
I would definitely pick this over an over priced SLO.
@@TONEWARSgearshow I never ever like Soldano amps compared to some of my favs like Boogies, and Marshalls. Nowadays with so many boutique builders there's so many choices. Still want to see you get your hands on the Sub Zero by MLC. Saw a used one on Reverb (hint hint)
Does it take pedals well?
Absolutely
Keep it. It kicks ass. It's a quality built product. It will last for many years. It won't catch on fire.
It has tons of gain. I can hear a "cocked wah" sound with the gain cranked.
The little logo in the middle of the panel is the King Diamond logo! 😆
( If you can play "Bark At The Moon" all the way through, you are super talented. I can only manage to play parts of it. And not like Jake played it. I can't do those weird chord stretches! I have to cheat. )

If your looking for something to sell…I’d say that victory and your el34 stealth. Now I love the el34, but you clearly prefer the 6l6 and they are similar enough.

The primary goal of communication is for the receiver to understand the message. You’d have to be one serious dimwit to confuse a message because someone used the wrong contraction for “you are.” Now, that may be the case in certain contexts, but it’s quite clear what I meant to say in this sentence.

The EL34 is very similar to the stealth 6L6. It's been on my mind.
That said, because I got such a great deal on that amp and it is very good, it's hard to part with it
