I’ve found trout will shrink more than reds. Kept a trout that was 15.25 early in the day, and at the end of the day after being on ice he was under 15. We had the game wardens measure our fish and thankfully didn’t ding us for it
Asked a Tx game warden if he would ding me if i had a trout a 1/4 inch short. He said no. He said rulers and ice chest lids are different and shrinkage he would not write a ticket. But if we had numerous fish that were short he would write me up
Hey man i appreciate your videos... Random question but do you know where i could find one of those 3 rod, rod holder like you have on the side of your center console? I like that pipe design and in white rather than stainless...
So tell me why when i was in a tournament we had a 28 1/8 th inch redfish measured on the same board that the tournament weigh- in uses and we packed it in ice and in 2 hours we measured again just before weigh-in it was 28 on the nose for us and at weigh -in, fish shrink for me on ice, I had a game warden tell me that fish shrink so be careful how you measure....just saying

It was my red and we measured it three times and it was on ice for 4 hours
I enjoyed the trip with yall Terry! Thank you
I got tickled watching Julie pull in that last RedFish. I noticed the fella was using assisted oxygen, much respect to not let that hold you back!
I was happy to take them out. They had fun!
Thanks for sharing brother.
You're welcome

Wow great video. I had a game warden tell me they shrink after they die. Because I kept a fish a 1/4 inch over 20 inches

What’s your GPS set up? What size and what card are you using?
Garmin 94 sv. Texas one chip
Try it with Specs. They DO shrink
I doubt it… unless it’s frozen stiff and then not enough to matter.
