    My preference is to fish using just one fly at a time. Less is more. Also, I'm usually preoccupied looking for fish or obstructions (branches).
    I haven't landed a fish with a nymph in decades, and I prefer to tie dry flies because you have to find a balance between buoyancy and realism/aesthetic. My goal is to cast the perfect (small) dry fly that I made with hackle, skills, minimal thread-wraps, and natural hair. Fly tying is an essential part of the sport, to me.

    I’ll go head up with a Euro rod to a dry dropper any day. I fish both, but Euro is deadly 98% of the time

      Euro nymphing is to crossbow as real fly fishing is to a recurve bow. Competitive angling is gross and I’d rather stay at home than catch 100+ fish on euro

    Awesome video once again and incredible system Mike! I’m definitely going to give this a shot. A few questions, would this also work by adding the beads and tubing only on the butt of the fly (as long as you’re still threaded through the eye)? Or does there need to be two points of friction to prevent the fly from sliding during a cast? Is this something you’ve tried?

    When you've got the nymph set as deep as you can, do you have to set harder when you get a take on the dry to slide it down to the ring/knot? I've thought of similar concepts, but figured that was the biggest drawback.

    I got a question when your doing like a nymph to nymph dropper set up and your doing barbless how does that work lien if you tie to the hook shank on a barbless hook would t the tippet just slip off? Do you know of any way around this?

    • @FLYALLSZN
      @FLYALLSZN  Год назад

      Jack! My best advice would be to tie all your flies WITH barbs. So when you’re in the field and you crimp them down, there is still a slight bump that should stop any tippet slips! That’s what I do anyway
