i cant wait to try them... good tutorial thanks. subscribed cant wait for the next tutorial. ☺
Fab video, many thanks. I love your style, very clear and informative and the length and pace is spot on (you're very assured and there's no waffle.... I'm a Scorpio so it suits me perfectly haha!). I like that you used a really dark flower paste to contrast with the white surface/mats, so much better for the viewer.
I'm surprised how many thumbs down you've received (mean people!!!), but maybe to receive fewer in future try improve your lighting, could have been a bit brighter. Also, take care that your hands remain in the camera and maybe don't say "what you/we wanna do" so many times. Sorry, not being critical but I feel your tutorial would have been perfect otherwise, one of the best I've seen thank you. :)
THIS IS AMAZING, but I can't seem to find the Wilton petal cutters anywhere can you please link them or where did you buy them ?? ☺️💗
She is so pretty
Beautiful
LOVEDDDDDD THIS. Thank you
This is the best tutorial ive seen so far. Id like to know how did you stick the roses on the cake? Did you use flower pic?
I am so glad you liked the tutorial. On this cake in the photos the roses were on wires and these slotted in between the drum cake board each of the tiers were sitting on and the top of the cake underneath, so they didn't go directly into any of the cakes. They were ten secured with royal icing to keep them in place.
I love this video tutorial,CakesbyLynz, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, your video so helped me understand the knowledge of making beautiful roses ~ thank you, again :)
Hi Ellen, I am so glad you loved the tutorial. Thank you for watching.

luvbaking1 Thank you so much for watching. I am so glad you liked it. I will definitely be putting some more tutorials up showing you how I make different kinds of flowers soon x
Lovely tutorial...
Thankyou it was beautiful!
Hi Lin, how would I attach a floral hoop to the front of a single tier 8" round cake?
Lynz I have tried to make your roses but I noticed my icing/petals are cracked is there a reason why this has happened. Thank you so much I’m a beginner and I’m happy with the roses I’ve made hopefully I can only get better at it
Thanks! Loved the tutorial 😊
you are amazing
I loved this tutorial. Quick question how much fondant do you think I would need to make 5 large rose and 5 medium?
god this roses are amazing
Hi

So beautiful 😍
Your roses are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge. I have a question, how long in advance can/should be made, and how long to they keep for? I was also curious, do they set hard?

Thanks for the tutorial
please can you tell me what type of pasta used?
and if it has a recipe to achieve the flowers.
These look amazing and I'm definitely going to try these
Thank you so much
so nice
Really want to try these. Got no excuse but nervous as hell!
+Katie Hardy Hi Katie, Just keep trying, it took me alot of practice when I started to get them exacty how I wanted them. Good luck with them, let me know how you get on. I really hope the tutorial helps.
love your video.. when you are placing the layer of the rose petals on do you arrange it so it is align with the top or graduallly move them lower to the base of the bud. i am not sure how they sit as you are adding more layers thanks x
Great tutorial! You've made it so easy to follow. Thank you for sharing. I'll be making gum paste roses for the first time on my very first request of a wedding cake! :) The cake will be small for an intimate ceremony. It'll be a round 10" & 8", with a cascade of baby roses. I was thinking of possibility have the completed rose be about 1 inch. Do you think that is a good size or too small? If you think the sizing is ok, what do you suggest I use for cutting the petals?? 1/4 or 1/3 circle??
Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to watching all of your current tutorials and new ones to come (excited to see more flower tutorials)!! :)
Gina Sotto Hi Gina, I am so glad you enjoyed the video. Good luck with the wedding cake, I really hope the video helps. In terms of the size of the roses, what I have found is maybe if you have a few different sizes, maybe some that are 1inch and some that are slightly bigger they fit together nicely as they cascade down and look slightly more natural as roses are not always exactly the same. You could also use a slightly bigger petal cutter but only do 3 layers around the center which would still keep the roses small, but would not be as fiddly to put together. I really hope this helps, good luck with your cake. Lynsey x
You are my Idol!!! 😍
Hi lynz I'm a fan here
Hi, thanx for a lovely video, cant waitw to try it out! Is gumpaste the same as ready to roll icing/ sugar paste, iv googled it but some say yes and some say no! Thanx again for your wonderful, easy to follow tutorial 👍😀xxx
Alisha Thomson Hi Alisha, No there is a difference between the gumpaste / floral paste and Icing/fondant. Gumpaste sets completely solid and is a lot more stretchy when your working with it, which is why it is used a lot for sugar flowers as it can be rolled a lot thinner. I am so glad you liked the tutorial x
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills, awesome video. Easy to follow for those that are just starting out, like me. I was wondering do you put calyxes on your larger roses such as this one? I don't know if that part of the flower really shows in the whole scheme of things. Just curious.
Hi Brenda, I am so glad you like the video and find it easy to follow. I don't usually put calyxes on the roses, because when I add them to part of the cake either on the sides or as part of a dome at the top you don't usually see the back. If it was going on the cake in a way that you can see the whole flower from all angles then you could add them to make them more realistic.
Stunning X
Hi there , im from south africa we have petinice , plastic icing and fondant ,thats the names of dif types you get ,what would give me that texture stretchy same as your gumpaste? Thank you
