Just found this doc and what a pleasant surprise. I lived in Highlands from 1949 to 1958. I remember the Johnson famly....went to school with daughter Harriett. And the canning plant.....lots of TopKick dog food. Also well remember Charles Rosser from the sixth grade. You mentioned the drug store.....I remember two. One owned by Jimmy Ezell and the other by Chick Hendrickson. The building behind you looks like the old library building. Lots of good memories.....
This town is the worst piece of shit to ever exist. It's gotten worse. Not just homeless people on meth you see dogs going to the meth houses to chill and camp out. The damn dollar stores get broken into every other month. I never thought it could get any worse but it has. Now the meth heads are wondering into our front yards and to make them move you gotta throw bottles at them. It's a nice past time.
