Micro Drive Land is definitely near the top of my list of must-see amusement parks! Besides the obvious main attractions, I also enjoy the thought of not wearing a funny hat with big ears. 🐁
Those are dandy Otis fright elevators still going strong 94 years later. From the angle of the machine, I presume 2:1 roping sheaves on the cab and counterweight? I saw another video of the machine room of an Otis Micro Drive I think this is the same type by the sound the micro drive motor made. If I remember correctly, there is a roller switch in the hoist way that drops the main traction motor out, cuts in the micro drive as it gets near the floor landing. Unless it's done with a two contact in the up/down crank. The aforementioned video, I think that elevator might have been semi automatic or fully. There was a floor relay/and selector. In addition to the motor relays/reserve phase relays.

These micro drive machines really are fascinating. I actually got to see one in action and I got a short video of it.

Yes but I don't think he rode them. The 3rd Micro-Drive's hard to access.
