I would've used either the chainsaw or the anky. Anky's bite attack is pretty good for gathering rare flowers and mushrooms. A lot of people say Theri but I also don't have them in my single-player game
If I remember thatch gatherers are the best for gathering rare mushrooms. That's why your pick works better than Bob cuz it is used for gathering thatch. Megaloceros (Male), Mammoths' and Therizinos' thatch harvesting attacks are all great at this job.
Mammoths in the swamp are probably the best thing for gathering mushrooms and you sit really high up so it's easier to see everything and their attack is an AoE so nice all around.

In the pond/waterfall in the redwoods, or any of those thistle like plants along the swamp better to have a theri with Fine grabs tons of rare flowers/mushrooms.

I just learned that you can put your inventory and your dinos inventory in alphabetical order. I’ve been playing for about 2 years. It’s the button at the top of the inventory page that has the 3 lines. I didn’t know if you knew that or not.
Many mixed feelings the past few days, i want to be excited because Gen 1 looked so good (as did the trailer for part 2), but on the other hand for solo\single play it was kinda crap imho 🤷♂️
I have the same feeling. I love Gen 1 for the looks and dislike it because it is more designed for groups. All other maps I could beat alone in single player, this one is possible to do alone but the master controller is not very single player friendly and I finally gave up to beat him.
A Tape-jar is a good choice for gen 2!! I believe that being one of the only flyers that can be kicked into reverse when needed w/o the classic flyers mod is a great choice. I have a god like Tape-jar that I will be taking over there. I will use that and my Argy and Thyla until I can get some of the new critters.
Can anyone tell me how to get an anky to harvest metal while I'm holding it with my Argy cos I'm trying and it's not working do I need to adjust something in its harvest settings for it to work or what? Thank you in advance for any replies

You can level up a moschops to harvest more mushrooms from the mangrove trees in the swamp...
A tickle chicken + swamp = hundreds of mushrooms

Can also try woolly beaver as well for rare mushrooms 😁
the mining gun works wonders for collecting wood thatch and RARE Mushrooms!!!!!!!!!!!!!! try it out!

I play pvp but gen 2 is terrible you better of playing solo

A trike or theri is best was to get rare mushrooms go to swamp and just wack away...haven't tried with a mammoth yet tho
The stego is good for rare mush from the swamp trees.
lvl up a moschops in rare mushroom gathering then go ham on the trees its amazing results

Why not breed the moschops? Get a bunch going, plus you can use the fert eggs in kibble too I think
