he really pulled a uno reverse card and re traumatized her lol
My god this movie destroyed me.
8:40 "Let's just say she isn't the friendliest person in the world." No, Charlie counts on his fingers and laughs because Ellie, although dark, wrote a haiku. Charlie becomes proud of his literary genius daughter.
Thank for comment. I didn't realize that's what he was doing then put it out of my mind.
Great synopsis recap. Love the film and Brandon Fraser with the entire cast performances was brilliant and heart-felt.
Brendan Fraiser is brilliant in this film. Definitely see it!❤
This is one of the best films I have watched for years.
So glad Brendan Fraser won an Oscar for his amazing performance as Charlie.
My dude FINALLY had his magnum opus. He had his Forrest Gump, his Truman Show, he finally did it.
This man has been beaten down for decades and he finally received what he was so desperately owed.
Bruh. All 3 mummy movies. He's been a legend
If he had just fasted from the time he found he would die, he would never have died. He could have lost 20 lbs in a week and got his blood work looking good. If you have weight issues, remember you can fix it. Food is one of the worst drugs to abuse, but you can heal, even feel great not eating or skipping meals. Being healthy can be even more addicting and way better feeling. God bless, stay healthy both in body and spirit. And don't let a movie discourage you or make you feel hopeless, you have hope and you can do it!
Too much heart damage
fasting in a food adict fat is like saying no more needles to a h3roin user, there are alot of cases in wich people whit these conditions even brough food in the hospital after almost dying, its unbelievable
As a member of NAAFP, I say time is short. Eat whatever you want.
There is a Point of No Return you can reduce the Damage but this does not turn the clock backwarts.
What meaning does money have if you are dead ? Nothing being in debt for Life is still better than being Dead.
It’s not the food it’s the addiction to the food. If porn had a toxic dose image how many people would have dropped dead by it. Addiction is the main thing that is nearly impossible to beat for some it’s food, others cigarettes, alcohol, porn etc. at some point it stops being about the substance and it’s the brain so hard wired to crave the routine and substance at specific times or under certain moments of distress that logic fails to override our addiction
This is just a really sad movie, I almost cried by watching this video, not many movies can do that to me, I literally see people arms get cut off and people turned into walrus's and this video, not even the actual movie, almost put me in tears.
People turned into walrusres ?
@@justsurrealist1533 It's weird, I think it's called "Tusk"
yeah, tusk was great!
@@justsurrealist1533called tusk, basically human centipede but a walrus
Brendan Fraser ❤
That Oscar is fucking deserved.
indeed, this was peak fraser performance
No it is fucking not. Overracted crap for teens
Thanks for the recap bro!
Thanks for watching
he's lucky that there are kind people who come and help him
Very good life movie.
Kids really change the way you view life and the choices you make.
i watched the movie and it is pretty relatable in an ugly way. great acting from brandon fraser!!!
This was so sad
such a damn good movie
Really a sad film
Thanks man
Thank you for watching
Why does this summary purposely avoid identifying Liz as an enabler?
I know it is hard to understand, but I think she already new he was gone anyway so it wouldn't make much difference giving him what he wanted because it was too late for him to make any changes.
@@valeriaromainville2288 Alan starved himself before inevitably ending his life. Part of Liz's trauma lies in her inability to convince Alan to eat when he was spiraling into his demise. Similarly with Charlie, the same trauma causes him to binge eat because he witnessed the love of his life deteriorate. In a tragic way both Liz and Charlie are coping with the horrible way Alan suffered before his untimely death.
@@valeriaromainville2288 "Too Late". I wonder how long it took for him to get there.
@@littlechaq And thus Liz coped Charlie to his own death.
It wasn’t a minor stroke he was suffering from in the beginning. He was having angina.
Are we supposed to feel bad for Charlie?
Well done on this analysis. I'm considering seeing the movie for myself now!
Moral of the story. Dont be a dick
Moral of the story. Don't feel bad for assholes that reap the consequences of their actions.
Damn, they didn't tell me CaseOh dropped his own movie
😂
0:45 American Healthcare System
Typical to blame the healthcare system instead of the fat a** patient who let themselves get that unhealthy in the first place.
I wonder if the father fell over on his daughter
Exactly what I thought
Yup. They both went to the afterlife... But the daughter went to hell
@@ifitmakesnoise1659 they should both go to hell since technically he committed a slow suicide by gluttony.
@@ifitmakesnoise1659what
@@Gordoon133 makes sense. If that last scene of Charlie and Ellie on the beach can be interpreted as both going to the afterlife. Bro crushed his daughter to death.
Either that or he forced her to witness his death in the most horrible way possible.
this vid ends up becoming the "discord mod be like" meme
Are you on Instagram?
Havent seen the movie. Your recap is enough.
This is just sad.
Who let bro cook
With lard?
That's the thing, he never did. He just orders pizza.
I feel sorry for bro until I find out it’s just a movie the whole time he was trying to help everyone life and forgets about his

This comedy is so fucking good I highly recommend 🔥
Huh? Comedy? The movie?
@@fexco91 just watch it bro, I was nonstop laughing in the iMax during the muckbang scene!
so he didn't fall on her......
Omg grimace actor omggg🧋🧋☠☠
I love the movie but i think he’s egocentric
In what ways do you find him egocentric
The actor or the character?
You're not telling us why it's profound, why he deserves the Oscar. You're just telling us the movie. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Gotta use that brain of yours to figure it out
It's a recap not a fucking review 💀
Literally says in the title "Why Brenden Fraser won an oscar" absolutely no clue where they would get the idea of asking the question of why he won the Oscar from that but shit you're smarter than me
@@dylanclark9437 Ughh, because he acted in the movie?
That brain of yours is for decoration isn't it?
The title presents the video as an explanation to the oscar. One would expect it would break down the character of Charlie, Fraser's portrayal of it and the lengths he went to achieve it.
The video does not explain shit. It is a recap. That's all.
not gonna watch that so thank you
The movie is ok fat gay man abandoned daughter she resents him they kinda of have a bond at the end before he dies ok
SPOILER ALERT:
Edit: wow guys i didn't know i would be youtube famous, mom is gonna be proud of me.

You dead?
Great summary but i will not watch that. There is no single good message there.
The Good message is that even while people may come off as bad or evil, you should always be optimistic, no matter what. Charlie tried to do that with his daughter, even while she continued doing wrong things. Even though this story is depressing, Charlie teaches us that we should continue to be optimistic even while we’re at our lowest or if someone is being horrible to another.
Aysatt..who cares
@@eastgermanphotographer2868 Or you could say that the moral of the story is not to leave your children and marriage for gay sex and especially with a dude that is religious.
@@eastgermanphotographer2868 Ellie is not the villain here. Charlie is. Ellie is a broken mess all thanks to Charlie. He still doesn't try to live for his daughter, he only thinks of her when he is dying. He only calls her because he has no time left. He did nothing for her except giver her money. Charlie is a disgrace. A perfect example of who not to be.
What a terrible movie. Of course we see why he won the Oscar cause he fits all the liberal narratives. No white light where he was going.
I agree with you.
So much hate we only live once don't spend it hating everything
@@shinigami45-k4bO. K.
Let's just hate this one movie.
And then we can love everything else.
@Pedro Bautista shutup I'm tired of all the immorality I can speak the truth if I want too
@CCRider the movie sucked bc it was pretentious Hollywood narrative achiever like yourself, pretentious
AI generated slop
Fraser is naturally pathetic, so these roles are very suitable for him.
I'd say Niles was more pathetic than Fraser
@@ChrisR395 Niles who?
@Chris R Only the real ones would get this one! (HEY BABY I HEAR THE BLUES A CALLING TOSS SALADs AND SCRAMBLED EGGS)
Shut up
I do not agree with "pathetic. " That being said, reading about his recent problems being Charlie came easy. Method acting.
I can't say I found this to be one of my favorites. Maybe 5/10 ? Ellie is just pure evil. Liz is a little too self righteous. The Missionary is flawed, but at least has good intentions. Mary is "not so bad." But she could have stayed for the last few hours.
I actually found "The Wrestler" to be MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better. 10/10
You know that something is wrong with a country when oversentimental, overracted crap like this is considered a masterpiece.
I will just stick to the real movies...
