I'll probably try to work in a few low effort videos here and there to add to what I already slap together. Hope you enjoy!

Wow, that’s really interesting. A layer of salt water. Actually, I do remember seeing a special on a spot in the ocean , a layer on the bottom that is so salty, no fish can live in it 🤔. Very cool hun.

I have a friend who goes there every year. The stuff he’s found is so amazing.

Lol. Crittel. Loved that. When you go back to more effort videos, using your words here, not criticism. Leave in some of those moments. I like them. They make me smile. A lot of these words i am learning are very hard for me to pronounce. And sometimes in the struggle to get them, i get tounge tied on other words since i am focusing on the word i am struggling with. If that makes any sense.
Thank you. That was informative. Did not know this info.

Keep doing these as well as the more edited versions. I think your straightforward approach is engaging.

I’ve heard of this formation before. Probably was in the area but never went fossil hunting

A layer of salt at the bottom where the dead animals landed on top of? You mean pre seasoned food!

Hmmm i got a nice fish fossil from the spot and mine look the same as yours... i got it a very long time ago, is it worth anything? Should i be keeping it protected? I didnt think it was worth anything because back long ago my patents bought it for me cheap.. i found it again months ago, cleaning my parents' attic it was in a bin full of old toys

Depends! But if it's similar to the larger ones here they can range $50-$200 depending on the species anymore.

Not any special care I can think of. Just don't be tearing into it or handling it roughly I suppose.

I have a friend that sells them. He owns a shop in Wyoming and goes there every year to dig.
      He might know.

What was so "low effort" about it? You mean because it wasn't edited six ways to Sunday just to get your point across? For a video of this length that kind of homogenization can sometimes be overkill imho.

    • @mooneyfinemineral

People expect that kind of effort and it's the kind of thing that separates successful channels from others, especially in this field. Not that I'm successful. *Gestures to 79k subs and not even 200 views on this video*.
So maybe what I do doesn't matter 🤷.

It takes years to grow channels. Be patient, word gets out. Keep growing and sharing your knowledge.
Also… Always share any items you have for sale in your shop.
Do that often to increase exposure and increase viewership with a little variety as you share for sale specimens and info on them along with your website so buyers can contact you.
      Blessings from a new subscriber!
