How fitting that a Garden Queen would have a floral crown (the way you are standing in front of your container of supertunias looks like a crown over your head 👑). Thanks for the informative video.

Wow those lemon coral sedums do make a difference! I think that is what I'm missing to have an amazing basket like yours, thank you so much for the tip!
This is by far the most informative video explaining how to care about petunias. I felt that I was seated in a classroom and being instructed by the top person specializing in Care 101. You are amazing. Last summer I try growing petunias with no or little success, now I understand what I need to do. Good attention to detail and your knowledge helped me!
Thank you so much!! That is one of the reason I started this channel to help people with having beautiful containers!! I am happy this video helped you!
Thank you and thank you for watching!! This flower always make a annual appearance in my Garden!! I am in love with PETUNIAS in general but supertunia vista bubblegum 💕💕💕💕
I love this video! You're going to laugh when you see us putting some Petunias in these small mini containers ....we're so funny! No way they're going to make it (but it was cute on film 😃). Perfect timing watching this video
Amen!!! Containers mean absolute control ..... fail proof if they follow your tips! Spot on video!!! Love watching to learn more tips, tools and techniques..... GREAT JOB!
Yessss!! You can manipulate the environment in the container to be exactly how you need it to be for the benefit of the plant!! Thank you for watching!
Hi Garden Queen!!! I love your detailed videos. Your flowers are so beautiful, and I love the Vista Bubblegums. I planted four of them last year, but they only lasted about three weeks. That prompted me to do more research before planting this year. After researching, I decided to buy even more of them this spring and planted them in the landscape and in containers. I followed the watering and fertilizing recommendations. I also trimmed them as needed. Sad to say, I only have two that remain. These two were moved to a more shaded part of my yard. I believe the afternoon sun is the culprit. I live in Mississippi and it gets REALLY hot here. I began to water them twice daily, but it did not help. Do you have any suggestions?
@@GardenQueen Some of my plants were bought at my local co-op store. The rest were online orders. All of them are Proven winners; so you know they were pricey!
Thank you for watching you should! Also when you get the supertunias make sure to get the Vista series if you want a good show like this one! And you don't need a ton of plants to make a statement either 💕
Where do you live?? I noticed the fleur-de-lis sign on your urn.. was curious if your from the New Orleans area or Louisiana like me. Those Bubblegums are super gorge! I’m trying to decide between Vista Paradise or Vista Fuscia for my front garden this year. I did the Vista Snowdrift’s last year and they turned up! Unfortunately they were thrown around the neighborhood in August when we experienced a hurricane, lol!
Have a reasonably sized garden, and have learned over the years that I am no good at container gardening. The issue is watering, and certainly fertilizing. So, schedule for watering, fertilizing and spraying is way too much on my garden schedule, for me. I want, have looked for, and plant mostly specimens that are drought tolerant, rabbit and deer resistant, and hardy for disease. FYI, I planted a Supertunia Bubblegum for the first time, fertilized when I put it in the ground, and that baby grew to three feet wide and deep. The rabbits did nibble on it, but I sprayed Liquid Fence and back it came in about one week, better than ever. This is one great plant and meets most of my criteria, besides which it has impressive, gorgeous color. Don’t know about a pot, but this would have a great chance, even with me for a caregiver.
For containers, I always line them with heavy duty plastic, no drainage hole. In the very hot sun, the plants get one heavy morning watering daily and by evening the soil is still moist, plants well hydrated, otherwise I'd have to water three times a day or have wilted or dying annuals. I can't understand the use of coir planters which wick away the moisture, rapidly drying out the plants. If you use coir containers, line them with plastic and save yourself a lot of work. Slow release fertilizer in the soil prior to planting, then select the day of the week when you will use soluble fertilizer in your watering can and do this weekly. You should see good results.
Good morning, I planted two bubblegums in the landscape this year. They are thugs there as well. I have a Picasso in Purple in a hanging basket that is doing well
Good morning, I love Picasso in purple!! The Picasso line is amazing I remember when I planted Pretty much Picasso years ago! I drove and called all around looking for it and Sherwoods forest was the only nursery that had it that year!!!So anytime I see a Picasso I fit it into a Color scheme!! The supertunia vista bubble gum I think I could have just done one and it would have been just fine!! I bet your supertunias are so full and pretty!!!
There is a man on you tube from Andersons that swears by a certain fertilizer. I paid like 22.00 for it. And then I bought two different liquid type fertilizers. His hanging petunias look amazing! I think he said to fertilize twice a week on top of that expensive one every two weeks. Is it too much to add that slow fertilizer granules now that I planted my containers a couple days ago? I don't want ot overkill ..lol
You can use too much fertilizer and burn the plant! But I can say the slow release fertilizer slowly releases the fertilizer so it feeds the plant. I would maybe try it on a small planter first! I just would not want you to overfertilize your plants and not have success!!!
@@angelasbusybeesgardenandho4627 Lowe’s has them in short supply. I’ve noticed that you have to shop early in the season, because they tend to sell out quickly.
Hey Dalila! Great question the urn has a drain hole in the bottom. I have bought containers that do not come with holes in the bottom! I turn them right on over and add the drain holes to them! Well it kinda depends on the size of container. Which supertunia you get. So for this container I got Supertunia Vista Bubble Gum. two for this container one on each side. If you get the regular supertunia they grow big but not as large and vigorous as the vista series. I still would have went with two for this size container. Also it depends on the shape of the containers, the look you are going for.
@@GardenQueen thanks. I bought 3 Vista bubblegum and 3 Vista fushia supertunias. The pots size are 12in across. Should I buy bigger pots, or will one work for each 12 inch?
@@tiphanese8814 it all depends on the look you are going for in that area! If you have a 12 inch pot I would not use 3. The supertunia Vista bubblegum because they get massive! Also they trail massive as well. But if you are wanting a dramatic show if you can fit 3 of them comfortably in the container! I say go for it because your show is going to be amazing!
