- Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury were both some of music's most legendary performers, and they were, for a short time at least, good friends and music collaborators together. Writing and recording several tracks together just before Michael's 'Thriller' induced megastardom.
But the two's musical and professional priorities soon shifted and none of the tracks were ever released during their lifetimes. Michael Jackson urged Queen to include "Another One Bites The Dust" on their album to GREAT RESULTS---it went #1. It was also my favorite song as a youth for a very long time, and subsequently Michael Jackson became my favorite singer ever!!!! Ironic how life works...

I beg to differ; true, Queen had RECORDED the composition, but they didn't really like it and were doubtful about putting it on their album; Jackson's enthusiasm about the song was the tipping point, which made them reconsider and ultimately place it on the album, to their benefit--it went straight to number one.

Just imagine if MJ had collabed with The Beatles(besides Paul), Elvis or even did more collabs with Janet, it would have been amazing, oh the possibilities!
