I beg to differ; true, Queen had RECORDED the composition, but they didn't really like it and were doubtful about putting it on their album; Jackson's enthusiasm about the song was the tipping point, which made them reconsider and ultimately place it on the album, to their benefit--it went straight to number one.

I wrote music for them both, and also knew Mick.
How Freddy came up with the title Victory, was funny...;-)
Freddy stopped by my parents home, like he always did when I composed music for Queen. My little twin brothers were still very young, and I kept teasing them about this movie we saw on TV. I think it was called V for victory. It was about aliens impersonating humans and they were lizards underneath their human disguise .
So when my little brothers wouldn't go back inside so Freddy and I could talk about a new song I composed, I told my little brothers I was going to peal my face off, since I was a lizard....lol. They finally ran back into the house...;-)
Queen should work on that song, Victory!
