Would love to hear everyone's thoughts, insights and questions on this topic. Obviously it's very complicated and I only wish I had answers. Curious what you all think and if you have any stories to share. Thank you!
Trying to imagine my parents forcing me to play videogames as a child... does not compute. But seriously, if people are going to exploit kids, grinding on Web3 is prol one of the least awful things you could have them do

Glad that you care, and are trying to further the discussions! Ultimately these are questions about humanity, web3 gaming is just a tool. The good and evil outcomes from the evolution of the space are a result of the humans using that tool. Web3 itself is neutral, neither good or bad. The other important question to ask is what are the alternatives?
Yeah good points! I do tend to think that way as well with technology, that it’s typically just neutral. However I still think it’s an important thing to think through and for research to be done. The alternatives is a great question to ask. I mean as I said if it’s already happening in web2 games… although of course it’s a lot easier to get banned in web2 games for it.

That take by Jeffrey is awful. He's not providing any solutions, and misrepresenting the problems. The gaming cafe shows a small community from YGG that is genuinely excited about the gaming office they've setup. I can introduce you to the people in this video to talk to directly if you like! Yes, humans will commit injustice when given the opportunity to profit from it. If you can find a way to travel to Manila in November for the Web3 Summit, I strongly recommend you make it out! I'll be there, making the trip from Canada.
That would be cool! I’m always down to talk to anyone who wants to! Or if they want to join for some piece of content or interview that could be cool, only if they want to though, no pressure of course.

Interesting thought, why would it be one of the least awful things? As in what are you comparing it to?
